    Hi there,

For the two weeks or so, our mains tap water in Dundrum (Dublin) has had a bad taste to it, vaguely like soil. It's not discoloured though.

Any known issue in the area? Has anybody else noticed same?

    Thanks

I’m in Dundrum/Rathfarnham area and the water on my road tastes musty/earthy too. Other estates are the same. I’ve logged a complaint with Irish water today after speaking to a neighbour, I thought it was just me thinking the water was disgusting.

Same here, in Wyckham Park area and it’s been tasting odd for the past couple of weeks. A musty mouldy kind of taste

Plenty of reports from all over the county over the past few weeks of the water tasting off. Look at the previous 2 posts here. It's been the same in Sandyford for about 2 weeks as well. There has to be problems at the source with such widespread issues.

Same issue here in Sandyford/Stepaside. Musty or earthy tasting water for the last two weeks. I know Irish Water say the water is technically safe to drink but clearly something has changed as I've never had the water taste like this in the decades I've lived in this area. Hopefully Irish Water figure this one out as I'm fed up buying bottled water!
