Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have a rabbit casserole in the oven for two hours, I'm after taking it out and tasting the water, it is very very bitter. My wife described it as violent! The meat is lovely. Going to leave it in for another hour and see what it's like then. Anyone any ideas as to why?

Without knowing literally a single other ingredient you used other than rabbit, we can't possibly answer that question.

Also, rabbit is generally considered to be an "R month" meat so if yours is freshly caught then that may be your issue.

Sorry, yer right. Yes Dad always says an R in the month. But the meat is lovely.

    Ingredients:

    2 pieces streaky bacon
    2 onions, one fine diced
    1 carrot
    1 baton of celery
    Fresh rosemary
    Dried thyme
    Dried Parsley
    Knob butter
Aldi Roadworks IPA - Caution Hops Ahead
    Veg stock pot

Never knew that were were months you couldn't eat rabbit!
    I buy mine in Supervalu.
Burn off half a glass of white wine before adding stock.
IPA might have been too bitter, rabbit is sweet.

The R thing is to do with the grass rabbits are feeding on as far as I know.

    Yer right about the IPA...
