They were found guilty by Uefa.

Inocent by CAS after prosposing 2 of the judges resulting in a 2-1 win for them.(according to De Speigal who leaked the original story)

So they got themselves declared innocent by CAS.

The should have been banned for two windows from buying anyone, if there was any justice.

Surely they will be under close scrutiny by UEFA now so their spending cannot be outrages. FFP hasn't ended and they haven't been spending too much in the last few years like they did at the start of the previous decade. They are still bound by their income and what they spend on wages etc., so unless they find more income from UAE companies or they spend more than they are allowed daring UEFA to ban them, well they are playing by the same rules as we do.

The difference between them and Chelsea and us is that they have no problem loading debt on the club or finding the money from other companies to pay for spending. We cannot do this however.

It could be very difficult for "sponsorship" ie: direct monetary transfers, from Etihad to continue in the same manner given what's happened to the airline industry. If Etihad was benchmarked against other carriers' cutbacks in advertising due to covid19 and audits show that a massively loss-making company was haemorrhaging out cash to Man City for no good commercial reason then the club could find themselves back in the sh1t.

Doesn't matter, the UAE can pump as much money as they want into Etihad and then through Etihad they allocate that same amount to City as "Sponsorship"

Strange as we are so well represented from the other "home nations" and ROI, although I saw a comment on Reddit there weren't many NI players good enough. Utd have had some good ones.

He was a child prodigy and Shankly gave him his debut at a very young age at Christmas 1969.

Ryan McLaughlin the most recent to come close, again never made a first team appearance.

The Athletic are reporting that in addition to Ake & Torres, Man City also want to sign Koulibaly & a striker with Joao Felix top of the list.

There is a suggestion that £300m will be spent this summer by Man City.

What ****ing hope do we have honestly? It is one of the great achievements destroying that City side last season to win the league.

I genuinely thing it's a greater achievement than Leicester although I might be a little biased.
Arsenal allegedly getting Coutinho and Willian would be good business, I feel but they'd be very Brazilian, which mightn't work on a cold night in Stoke.
Chelsea buying all the good forwards is a worry. As long as no one tells Frank that's not the problem they may struggle.
Utd spending like they are trying to go bankrupt and City being City.
Next year surely will be a bigger challenge.

I honestly think top 4 will be a very very contested one next season, Liverpool, City, United, Chelsea and Arsenal are all looking alot stronger, I think City walk the league next season if I am honest, there is no way Liverpool can compete with a City that has a strong defense, last season their defense was extremely suspect, next season, they will be one of the best

Id be happy with a 2nd place finish, and hopefully FFP to investigate how City can spend another 300m even after Corona

Only Koulibaly strengthens there first 11 ,

Ake is on par with Stones and Otamendi ,

Torres may come good but he currently aint no David Silva that's for sure,

Felix been absolutely crap at Madrid I'd be delighted if they spend money on him over a different striker,

Leicester were 5000/1 having nearly been relegated the previous season. It definitely isn't a greater achievement than that. You may have been tongue in cheek though perhaps.

Torres is unproven, Ake looked good in a poor team, is he really any better than Stones, Otamendi?
Will they actually buy another CB and Koulibaly just had an average season. Have some faith...

City are losing there biggest influence in the changing room , and still one of the better payers in Silva,

Sergio starting to pick up injury after injury ,Fernandhino another year older ,

Pep has a big season on his hands, teams are starting to get used to the way they play and understanding how to stop them ,

We may have already seen peak City under Pep who knows

Nathan Ake and a young winger with it all to prove signed and you think they'll walk the league? Madness. Regardless of what business they do or we do how much better realistically can they do than their best ever 100 point season and how feesible would that even be if, as you say, the rest of the top four are also much stronger. They've got 100 and 98, we got 97 and 99 and that was with us being on holidays for the last 5 games or it'd be much higher.

Nobody is walking away with the league next season imo unless either City or Liverpool are hit badly by injuries.

My only worry is whether we can keep our own pace up for a third season, not what City or anyone else does. If we do we'll be very hard to beat to the league. I think not having the fans there this season will help us in that regard, these lads want to win it again and again.

Our home form is vital in our huge points totals and without fans it takes away a bit of our fear factor,
