    Hi,
This may have been asked before, but I couldn’t find it I a search. So I hope this is ok?

My question is has anyone done the follow before?

Has anyone personally purchased a firearm IN Germany (or another EU country) and then sorted all the Irish license and import documents.
The once the vendor has received these documents - proceeded to get the export documents from their (Germany?)
Then the Irish guy fly over and collect the firearm and bring it back on the plane ?
(Can you trans port Firearms on RyanAir or Aer Lingus?)
(I presume you will need an EU firearm certificate to carry it in Germany?)

    Anyone done this or similar?

It would be easier and cheaper to just have them ship it, i think we charged E100 to ship to ireland and E25 to do the paperwork.

Have the firearm sent to an exporter, once all your paperwork is sorted license and import license, it can be sent straight to your door.
    Not all vendors will export.

Done the import paperwork with the DOJ and the application for the liscense with AGS myself, and am starting the process again for another import from Germany soon.
I bought off a dealer in both cases and would let them do the paperwork on the German side if ,as simply you need to be aufe with the local Police dept personel who issue the export liscenses.Like any PD this guy could be on holidays when you need him,or whatever. When they work they are work, but if they are not at their desk, the system delays an blocks up.
For an extra ton and a half do as Juice said and let a dealer do it for you and get it deliverd to your door in Ireland.I say that even as a half German,I wouldn't be botherd with the hassle.
Lufthansa or Aer Lingus are your only lads for flying guns to and from Germany to Ireland.Ryanair will NOT handle firearms in luggage.More to do with their turnaround times and cargo manifests, than being anti gun.
You would need the EU firearms passport and the Irish liscense to posses the gun in Germany, but that doesnt allow any sort of usage unless you have a competition invite or for hunting .

email them, yes I have bought 2 pistols from RFD in Germany and had them send to Bock. Your biggest delay will be getting a license granted in Ireland , import license is free and takes about 2 weeks to process, german paperwork is about 2 weeks also for their export license.

A whole bunch of them over there and only too happy for business at the moment,as COVVID knocked the ass out of the gun business over thee too.

And for shipping ,if for some reason you are quoted a very silly price. Tell them to use this crowd.%0 euros for within the EU .

I got a rifle shipped in (from these guys: https://www.naturwerk-shop.de/) for €70 a few years back - not worth your while collecting in person.
