Can't combine Paye with self employed earnings?

So I was working two jobs but gone since March and April respectively. The employed one was less than €200 and the self employed one was between 2-300 each week. Self employed stopped in March but I was trying to do right thing(stupidly!) and stayed at my employed job until it was impossible to keep going and I was layed off. So mid April I applied for covid Payment. After a bit of toing and froing with them I eventually got payment after 3 weeks. Fast forward. They cut my payment as they say you can combine earnings of employed and self employed and they won't just assess me on the self employed as the employed stopped after it. They would need me to stop my payment and reapply under self employed. I'm reluctant to do this as I had such trouble getting anything in the first place. Any advice? I'm hoping to be back to work in September so I'm not sure if its worth the fight as by the time it is sorted either way, I hope to be back working.
