Couchside contemplating a break somewhere. I'd love to disappear and just party for a month or so but people/life/work/bills/blah/blah/blah makes it more realistic to aim for September or October. Really really missing the US today and I want to go and see my friends and family and some favourite places there; it's been longest time ever, but just not a realistic option right now... So... but sure what can ya do - it it what is is...

Just looked him up Auto as I'm in need of a good distraction read and he is the IMAGE of an ex of mine. Way darker looking and more hair/piercings but it still freaked me out slightly. :o Should I try one of his series?

    ***immediately AirB'n'B/googles Barley Cove :D
Wouldn't mind a trip to west Cork but I hear ya can't even get a decent cup of tea or coffee there :pac:

Nah, maybe Mayo? I know or have been to Cork, Kerry and Clare and Galway and Donegal, never made it to Mayo for some reason. Achill Island for a month (with WiF/iBroadband) might be fun... Westport close by in case of island fever?

Westport is nice,I'm friends with an American lady who does a segment for the radio there.I'm always sending her strange song requests and fair play she broadcasts them.

@ Cali girl - I was down in Mayo the weekend before last with my OH for a much-needed extended weekend break. I couldn't recommend it enough!

We drove down to the stunning Connemara one day, another going out to Achill which has amazing beaches. Ballycroy National Park is amazing and the coastal drive along North Mayo past the Ceide Fields - on a clear day you can see right over to Donegal - is wonderful. :)

Bedside watching Heroes with a pain from a tooth extraction site all the way up the side of my head, my ear is on fire! How is that even possible? :(

Attended Ms Gs 6th class graduation this evening. An outdoor event in the school yard. Lovely for the kids, but so sad in other ways due to the current circumstances. Most of them hadn't seen each other since March. But they are unique and I really hope that like this years Leaving Cert gang, they embrace it, try harder, work harder and realise that all is not lost and they can be the ones to inspire the guys behind them. A very emotional night.

The kids have had it very tough during this pandemic. But hopefully at some stage and safely they can get back to some sort of normal.

Start with An evil mind but they don’t have to be read in order :) Alex Kava and Steve Cavanagh are others who are great :)

Nothing about the surgery was straight forward unfortunately... the dentist said I could expect pain for longer than usually reported, any pain in the head area is just difficult to try and forget about as it’s just there. All. The. Time :pac:

Could be worse. I’m just moaning.. :)

It could be worse, but that doesn't mean it doesn't suck anyway.

Ugh, constant pain is just so draining. Not experienced it in much a while but OMG any time I had sport injuries I was an antichrist :o Hope you feel better soonest Dave

Thanks all for the tourist recommendations peeps. Seems like North Galway, then maybe ONE splash out night in Ashford Castle or Mount Falcon (I've always wanted to try falconry) then an air b'n'b somewhere round Achill would be fab. Fingers crossed that mobile broadband, preloaded Kindle and an amenable boss all come together just after peak season! Love planning trips :)

    Bedside

I have given up with the Irish education system.
And I am banned from "going back to school" thread.
One of my children has found this situation difficult, that is why I was angry on the school thread.
