    Got a leaflet through the door from these guys and was wondering if anyone on the forums is using one of their 2kw 6 panel systems as their prices seems reasonable post SEAI grant.

    2kw covers the max roof space without planning permission.

    The house is a 1997 build and south facing roof so setup should be ok.

    My usual yearly consumption is around 6000kw and I do have a plug-in hybrid with a 20kw battery that I charge daily more or less.

    Just looking to find out if the energy generated will make a real difference to my consumption because to me 2kw (without battery storage) sounds too little.

    Any thoughts/recommendations?

    I got a leaflet for this system as well. Is it any good? I don't have a huge amount of knowledge about PV systems. Including the diverter for the hot water it's coming in around €3400 after the grant is deducted for 5 400w panels

    I got 4.4kw system with battery for €7500 after grant i pay €4500.
    Shop around i got crazy quotes up to 15k

    You did very well! That's the best price we have seen in this forum for a 4kwp system with a battery.

    everything with more than 7 panels needs PP...

    Wouldn't bother if I were you though, it is not enforced. They tried it but failed. And that was a lady who had plastered the front - road facing - roof of her house full of panels, more than 20 iirc...

    I'm interested in this package too. Just wondering if anyone has any insight into the panels - how good they are? Would you really save €600 a year on average usage? Any questions to ask or things to be aware of?

    Wrong. Anything over 12m2 does need planning permission. Go more than 7 panels, and yo will go over this limit.

    You will get away with not having it though.
