    Completely wasted, sadly.

    And same again next year

It’s a pity but no other real options atm, he’ll probably only get the Merc seat when Hamilton retires

It’s all in the long game. He knows this. With any luck he’ll be in the Merc next year and showing what he’s really capable of.

All the talk is about Lando and Albon but right now there is only 0.4 between the three of them, but Russell is in a vastly inferior car.

All the talk of Lando at the moment keeps the pressure off him as well.

Huge improvements on the track, clearly.

    Go Williams!

Improvements on the track or not those are two brilliant performances from Russell and Latifi.

what a lap from Russell, ahead of Albon and Leclerc

Williams with both cars into Q2, solid effort

Both Ferrari customer teams propping up the back of the grid, what a difference a year makes

Congrats to Williams!. Commissions anyone with a Ferrari badge on their engines.

Great stuff from Williams, both cars into Q2

It might be a downforce track, but the 4 Ferrari customer engine cars are out

Going to be the way it is this whole year as well since there’s no improvements allowed

Even Latifi made it into Q2, credit where it is due I guess!

Just shows how poor Haas and Alfa are without the cheating Ferrari engine! Is it too late for the likes of Williams to appeal last seasons results :p

The in car footage of Russell really does look like Button in the past, as Brundle mentioned. No hacking at the steering, just smooth constant inputs. Very impressive style. Can only hope her gets decent machinery in the future

Another ballsy move from the Pink Panthers. Love to see it but...

Commentators do my head in sometimes. Safe by .4 and going again, "Ohhh risky going on the mediums".

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,189 ✭✭✭This is it

    Nice from LeClerc

I almost had a coronary when I realised they went back out on mediums. I thought they should have gone on softs and backed out of the lap if needed. But glad it worked out in the end

    More questions about Albon unfortunately

    P13 isnt good enough

This has aged well. They’re very lucky the rest of the field couldn’t go any faster. Got away with it big time.

They did dump him in the middle of rush hour traffic there for his final run, mind!

The Red Bull seems to have gotten worse since Austria. Having said that Albon out qualified by Russell is a shocker

    And behind a Williams.

Mercedes could likely lap the field tomorrow if they fancied it. Depressing.

I made sure to post it before so I couldn't be accused of after-timing. Of the cars behind there were 2 William, no worries. Ocon, ha. So you would have needed the rest to all gain .4 while RP gained 0 on their last run. Was never gonna happen.
