Secondary / backup Laptop for Software development

Looking for suggestions for backup / travel laptop to my primary machine which I use for software development.

When not in use for work, probably used for general web browsing.

Main program usage would us Visual Studio and SQL management Studio, no video/photo editing required.

Ideally would be light and compact as well - 14 inch probably little small for developement but certainly would take into consideration.

Budget wise, since its a backup, would like to stay between 500 - 700 Euro if possible.

matebook d 14 or matebook d 15 on amazon
the 14 has a bigger battery actually so I'd go for that if you need longer battery life, lighter weigh, more compact

14 inch is fine for longer working periods imo

both have premium metal build, ips screen, quad-core ryzen, 8gb ram, ssd. only quirk is upward-facing webcam

14 is on sale for £530 (usually was £599). great machine for the money. nothing else comes close in the price range

Quad core and 8gb ram fine for ide's excepting edge cases where very large datasets are involved
