    Hi guys,
Wondering if someone can help me here. My 09 Leon seems to have some serious electrical fault that I can't figure out. It started when the air blower stopped working completely. Then the lights started being intermittent but now when you turn on the indicator the car powers on without the keys. Any idea what could be causing this? I presume it's a short somewhere or an issue with wiring but unsure

    Thanks for any advice

Just a couple of things worth checking. Was it ever crashed, has it got the original stereo and is the battery 100% charged. Any cocking about with the electrics intentionally or otherwise can cause gremlins in all modern cars. Any break in the wiring loom can cause weird & sometimes serious problems. Hope its just your battery.

I don't think it's ever been crashed to my knowledge and the stereo is the standard Leon one and I don't have anything else wired into the car but it has me stumped. It's at the garage at the minute so hopefully they figure out what's causing it and it's not too dear to fix

Could be something as simple as the ignition switch.

I'd be more thinking the body control module now with what you have listed. have the car scanned preferably by a vag diagnostic machine to give you a good insight intobwhats going on. b
