I am going to do the As Seen On TV reveal quite a bit earlier today at 4pm as hopefully there'll still be a good few people around as its a Saturday, but mainly because its the most convenient time for me.

Nobody went for any of my pre-selects all week, so no bonus points going to anyone, but here are the 5 I had picked out for this category...

Gavin DeGraw - I Don't Want To Be ; One Tree Hill

Miike Snow - Animals (Punks Jumped Up Remix) ; Friday Night Dinner

Porno Graffitti - Melissa ; Fullmetal Alchemist

The Rapture - Echoes ; Misfits

Jefferson Starship - Jane ; Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp

And since its the last day, and TV Themes are so much fun, here's another 7 themes that weren't picked that I thoroughly enjoy...

Regina Spektor - You've Got Time ; Orange Is The New Black

Muff Murfin - Are You A Gladiator ; Gladiators

Ron Wasserman - Go Go Power Rangers ; Power Rangers

Tamsin West - Round The Twist ; Round The Twist

California Dreams - California Dreams Theme ; California Dreams

Exchange feat. Mark Jordan - Where The Truth Lies ; Prince Valiant

Mike Post - Law & Order Theme ; Law & Order

I was asked if I was going to add my pre-selections for each round in to the Category Playlists, but I want to leave those as they are, so instead here's a Bonus Playlist of all the songs I had pre-selected throughout the Walrus for anyone who's interested in that...

I was very close to picking Round the Twist but I thought someone else would.

Totally forgot about California Dreams, I watched that a lot!

    Ah, classic! :D

I did think of Misfits and The Rapture at one point, but stuck with one of my first thoughts in the end. Just so happened I'd recently watched a series where I really loved the theme

    13th with 12 points is
    Shane U

Frankie Laine - Rawhide ; Rawhide

I don't think I had ever seen Rawhide, but I was familiar with the theme song from a very young age, and so were most of my friends despite it being long before our times because by the time we got to secondary school we had a friend Roland, who we would always sing Rollin' Rollin' Roland! at whenever he made an appearance somewhere. Anyway an iconic tune.

In 12th place with 13 points is
    JP Liz V1

Sonny Rhodes - The Ballad Of Serenity ; Firefly

Browncoats unite and sing the song of our people! Love this theme and Firefly should never have been cancelled so early in its run. Tough competition for it here, but middle of the pack in this particular round is still very good going.

I remember it more from The Snapper :P

14th and getting 11 points is
    Rothko

    Apparat - Goodbye ; Dark

Dark is the greatest TV series of all-time and you should all go watch it - absolutely mind blowing. Does it also have the greatest theme song in the world? Not quite, but it's pretty damn good all the same.

Johnny Flynn - Detectorists ; The Detectorists

I did watch the first couple of episodes of Detectorists a year or two ago, but didn't remember the theme song really standing out. This is a really lovely song though, nice and stripped back with not a lot going on as some of the other songs in this round, but Johnny Flynn's voice is superb.

Fever Ray - If I Had A Heart ; Vikings

I know of Vikings, but have never watched it. It sounds really familiar so must've heard it before, or it could just be because I've heard a couple of other Fever Ray songs. Great song, really enjoyed it and loved the vibe, it was just up against a lot of heavy hitters here.

California dreams was on my extensive draft list.

    cj maxx

Joey Scarbury - Believe It Or Not ; The Greatest American Hero

It's an undeniably catchy song, and it really gets you in a good mood when you hear it. Didn't expect it to rank so highly in this round, but for feelgood reasons it continuously crept up the table. I knew the song, and was familiar with the show, although I've never actually seen it.

16th and getting 9 points is
    y0ssar1an22

Jace Everett - Bad Things ; True Blood

I've always loved this song. Was a big fan of True Blood back when it first started, as were my co-hosts on one of the radio shows I was doing back at that time, so we used this as our intro music every week. If I hadn't also just listened to it so much recently while ranking Necro's Surlaw, I may have had it up a couple of more spots.

Joined in 9th place and getting 17 points each are

    and

Alabama 3 - Woke Up This Morning (Detroit Mix) ; The Sopranos

Not surprised that two people went for this, and I expected it to be more than that actually. I also fully expected this to easily make it onto the podium, but it got knocked down the list a bit due to being up against some really strong competition.

It's been used in Breaking Bad
when Jesse is driving a Go-kart while having a mental breakdown
, and the Wikipedia page suggests it's cropped up in a few other places too.

Of all the songs I submitted this one is my favourite, a song that still gives me goosebumps when I hear it for the first time in a while. Would've hoped for a better score here but at least it's well clear of the bottom three!

Woke Up This Morning was what I thought was the obvious choice, glad I didn't make it three :pac:

Love Spit Love - How Soon Is Now ; Charmed

I actually prefer this to the original Smith's version, which I'm also a fan of. I've only seen an episode or two of Charmed in passing, but am very familiar with the theme song, 'tis a regular fixture on my Spotify playlists.

    Remy Zero - Save Me

Was one of my favourite theme songs back in the early '00s and still holds up. It was actually probably the best thing about Smallville now that I think of it - probably only kept watching that show as long as I did to hear the theme song every week, back in the days before you could just magic a song up at the tap of a few buttons. Excellent choice.

Shadowy Men On A Shadowy Planet - Having An Average Weekend ; Kids In The Hall

Wasn't familiar with this at all. I've heard the name Kids In The Hall, but no idea what the show is or what it's about. The theme itself is a great instrumental piece that grew on me quite a bit on repeated listens.

Another forgotten tune. Nice choice. Surprised Liz didnt pick it, id imagine its right up her alley.

Oh Wonder - All We Do ; Unforgotten

Knew the song, discovered it a few years ago and absolutely love it. Never heard of Unforgotten though, so had no idea that it was a TV Theme Tune, but an excellent choice.

19th and getting 6 points is
    Irish Aris

Lalo Schifrin - Mission Impossible Theme ; Mission Impossible

One of those scores that everyone is familiar with, whether you've seen the TV Show and the Movies or not. If I'm ever trying to do something sneakily or stealthily I often hum or whistle this to myself for motivation, which usually ends up just making me very obvious and entirely unstealthy, but it does make me feel really cool doing it.

Jason Paige - Gotta Catch 'Em All ; Pokémon

I Wanna Be The Very Best! Was really hoping someone would enter this one, and obviously two of you were picking up on my thoughts. Not much needs saying about it, it's simply epic and great fun to sing during a sing-a-long.

Tom Waits - Way Down In The Hole ; The Wire (Season 2)

Great theme song from an equally great show, and I feel bad having it way down in this round, but it really was so tough ranking this round in general. I did love how The Wire had a different version of the theme every season, and I think the Tom Waits version really suited The Docks season.
