Buying UK import from dealer.

    If i buy a car that has been imported from the UK by a dealer and its on UK plates will it be registered on Irish plates with the vrt paid when I receive it?

    Yes. They are legally bound to sell it here on Irish plates with VRT paid on the new owner's behalf.

    Also before you pay a deposit, ask how long it will take to get the car, an NCT test if it needs one
