Same owner for the last 15 years, NCT til January 2021, €350

The ad and photos are terrible, but you can sense a genuine air to it altogether. If it goes and stops ok it could get someone out of a hole for six months

Nobody will figure out the reg if I stick this white piece of paper here below the GAILLIMH bit :D

It looks tired and very basic, and the check engine light is on. How deep a hole do we need to get someone out of?!

Is the engine light not on because the ignition is on, the needle on the rev counter suggests the car isn't running

It looks like it is idling to me, the needle isn't at zero rpm

This is a lovely looking 2008 Volvo S80
    NCT until March next year
Looks very clean inside also despite the usual Volvo leather creases
Asking €1550. Would be a nice buy around €1250-€1300

    2007 Audi A4 1.9 TDi 90bhp
Not a bad number plate either. Easy one to remember for auld lads like me :D
Supposedly has had timing belt and water pump just done today
239,000kms which is nothing for one of these
    NCT until April 2021
    Asking €1250
Small mark on front bumper on drivers side
Eyes wide open on this one as it only changed hands this week and for the money its up at, plus the spend on a timing belt and water pump, it seems a bit odd

    2004 Volvo S40 Mk2 2.0 diesel
NCT until January 2021 and taxed until the end of July
Small mark over rear o/s wheel arch, but other than that, it looks like a good clean car

No frills 2008 Tiida cheap motoring for someone in need of a reliable if slightly boring car.
Ad looks genuine with service history and receipt for belt being done

Nct till next march and tax is cheap

Take the 575e, walk to the Liffey, throw said cash into said river and you'd still have more fun and less problems

It was a face-lift that looked like a bit like a drag queen makeover at the time but somehow it has aged well

I just don't get the, had the same owner for a gazillion year's, being a bonus point. Every car my father had he had for years and absolutely mullered the life out of them 'til they looked like that BMW.

Long term owner reduces the chances ever so slightly of a car being abused/neglected. Owner intended on keeping the car for a good while so they minded it.

It's not a perfect science but there's a better chance it's more of a genuine car than something being flipped after less than a month of ownership.

I don't agree I think at that price point someone buys a car realised it's actually better than they thought and tries to make a handy hundred or two on the flip.

That sounds a bit fanciful tbh.

It'd be more like someone buys a turd and proceeds to polish it or they've discovered a fatal flaw and are trying to punt it on.

Looks suspiciously like the return of our friends again. Bears all the hallmarks of the ones that were going up on a daily basis a couple of months back.

    Newer than 2008
    Low price
    Diesel
    Stupidly low mileage
    No car reg shown
Person only registered on Donedeal this year
Photo taken at side of small back road in almost identical spot

Hi, I've been cursing myself for missing this car. It was exactly what I needed and I just procrastinated. Can't get it out of my head since!!

What was the suspicion you were wondering about? Was it verified?

    Thanks

The ads are always too good to be true. I don’t know what exactly the particular ad linked by Mike was for, but I’m guessing it was a 10 year old diesel with under 100k miles, with NCT and tax til next year and claims of a recent new timing belt and water pump.

If you show up, you’ll be directed to a pub car park in north Dublin and robbed of your money/car/phone.
