Centrist , very similar to FF

Sf are very left wing. Pro higher corporate tax. Pro wealth tax. Pro immigration. Pro public housing. Those are left wing policies 101

FF are pro public housing, FG are mad for immigration, wealth tax is on the agenda for nearly every country in the developed world, it's even been mentioned by the tories .
SF were looking for level playing field on corporate tax. Corner shop paying the full rate ,mega chain not.
Bird Smith would be left wing in no level of the imagination is Mary Lou in the same bracket.

Thought they'd have picked Chambers in Mayo rather than Dooley

Sf describe themselves as left wing buddy. The media call them left wing. People make the mistake when they confuse the united Ireland talk as right wing nationalistic. They are left wing nationalistic.

She's already elected to the Seanad I believe

Haven't seen MM's Seanad nominations posted anywhere, so here they are:-

    Mary Fitzpatrick (FF)
    Lorraine Clifford Lee (FF)
    Erin McGreehan (FF)
    Timmy Dooley (Cretin)
    Regina Doherty (FG)
    Aisling Dolan (FG)
    Emer Currie (FG)
    Mary Seery Kearney (FG)
    Vincent P Martin (brother)
    Róisín Garvey (GP)
Eileen Flynn (traveller - I think she ran in the Seanad elections)

So four female senators for FG, 3 for FF and 1 for the GP.

Didnt everyone get the chance to scrap the Seanead and they rejected it?

Complaining about it now is that not a bit stupid?

Donnelly will have his work cut out for him in health.

He spent the last few years slating Harris. Now's his chance to show us all how to fix it.

Can’t say I’m overly impressed with first time TDs getting ministerial posts

Hard for him to be worse than Harris but it's possible.

FF criticised them for their handling of housing and health for years. FF really had no choice but to take on those 2 portfolios.

Generally, she was like an automaton basically repeating the lines she was given. I saw no real passion for the job.

Just saying, I don't know if she has what it takes, we'll see.

My bets are on Donnelly's head rolling first then hers. Based on the jobs they have to do and their perceived abilities.
she preformed well on uk tv during her stint as minister for europe

Simon Harris, a college dropout, as minister for higher education. Doesn't seem to make much sense...

Did Hildegarde Naughton not get a job, thought I heard her name mentioned but maybe I'm wrong.
