Kilbeggan to Ballycommon Along canal

I know there are some plans to open a greenway along the old canal line to ballycommon. . Is it possible to walk it at the moment.

Thanks.....And those stretches make a walk the entire way from Ballycommon to Kilbeggan meaningful or lots of dead ends and backtracking.

I am planning a long distance walk, and trying to find the most meaningful route to get north to south between the canals
