My parents got a 181 Micra recently and they said the radio switches off by itselve after about 10 minutes. They didn't get s user manual with the car and I can't find an answer via a Google search. Does anyone know the fix for this?

Does it have sat nav? Does it happen if they are listening to radio stations or CD/input or both? If they sat in the car in the driveway listening to the radio would it turn off or is it just while driving? Does the display clear at the same time or just the sound stop?

Warranty should still cover it, 3 years...

Is the radio on Spin, FM104 etc? Possibly the car can't stand listening to it either.

Seriously though, that tends to happen when the engine is off, possibly some malfunction where the radio thinks the the engine isn't running. As poster above said, it should be covered under warranty.

Thanks for the comments. As far as I know It happens when they are not driving and the engines turned off.

That would be normal then to save the battery
