    Hi all,

My 2011 Insignia probably needs the belt done. Query is this,I changed job recently and there is a small independent based next door who comes recommended by my colleagues. However he doesn't do courtesy cars etc. Would it be possible to drop off first thing and expect it done in a day, collect on my way home ?

Yes, it can be done in (less) than a day.
Ask the mechanic as they may be working on more than one car.

drop in morning ready for collection in afternoon would be standard

Not an expert on these (well not on anything to be honest...) but are they not engine out to do a belt? Or did I make that up? If so will be longer than 1 day realistically

Opel book time on them is around 4 hours.

That's for someone doing it regularly. I got a job done where the manufacturer book time was 1 hour, took 2 techs from the franchise a full day to do it. For an idny who doesn't specialise in the brand a day would be fair.
