How can you get a cubed or squared symbol on an excel spreadsheet?

Hold Alt and type 0178 (²)
Hold Alt and type 0179 (³)

Type the number on the numeric keypad.

Just type 2 in the cell wherever you ned it.

Select the "2" in the formula bar, click Format, Cells, click Superscript. Won't affect any other text in the cell if you do it correctly.
