    Near Adamstown. To me it looks almost 80% down and with a funnel that big I’d say it was interacting with the ground at some point.

    If a funnel cloud touches down and there's nobody there to see it, does it make a sound?

    Extreme weather in Dublin is more impactful. Everyone needs to get over that simple fact.

    When on my drive yesterday evening, I arrived into Castlecomer in north Kilkenny and was trying to decide whether to head from there to either east Kildare or West Wexford... looked at the radar and thought that Wexford was at it's peak and would probably die out before I got there, so headed to east Kildare where development was taking place.

    I made the wrong call. :mad: :mad: :mad:

    A quick search of YouTube throws up 10 videos of funnels in Wexford and only one in the more populated Dublin. That's depressing for those of us living in the capital.

    What do people think of chances for thunderstorms in Dublin tomorrow? Will it be just heavy prolonged showers or will we have some sparks too

    The Met Eireann forecast for my area (coastal north Dublin) is showing rain and thunder from 4pm tomorrow until 9am the following morning - I'm praying that this is the case as I haven't seen lightning here since 2016!

    It had the same for me today for 7 hours straight, no even a hint of rain let alone thunder. Very strange.

    Some embedded storms certainly possible, but its a real roll of the dice.

    Milder and more humid here in south Laois today with generally overcast conditions alternating between heavy dark spells and bright spells. Temperatures going from 17°c to 19°c accordingly and dewpoints around the 14°c mark. No precipitation though. Light breeze ~5mph alternating between NNW and NNE.
