How do you know he didn’t? What reason does he have to lie? What reason does Jez Wilkinson have to lie?

A huge reason to lie . Possible jail time . Licence being revoked . Other children been taken off him

Sure a minute ago you were saying it was Jane Tanner who said what he said. Lol. You clearly haven’t a notion

That makes absolutely no sense when you consider the fact that everyone already knew that they had left the children unsupervised and they never denied that.
So whether he pretended to check on them or not, he was already f*cked.
    The damage was done.
If they wanted to revoke his license (which would be bizarre anyway), jail him or take the other children they already had more than enough ammunition to do so. He had no reason to lie.

What motivation would Jez Wilkinson have to tell the PJ fibs? Why would he do that?

Jez Wilkinson wasn't in their room or in their apartment . He seen Gerry and assumed he was after checking on his kids . Assumed

Good post iamwhoiam. And I’ve always thought of you as a very reasoned and measured poster, no skin in any game so to speak.. so I just have to point out it’s quite interesting to me who thanked your post.. or rather, who didn’t.

Those who are only interested in repeatedly vilifying the McCanns of course and who have for the most part left a disgusting and depraved pedo off the hook.

I mean.. some folk are just beyond comprehension.

So Gerry was just going for a mid dinner stroll around the block right by his apartment and not actually checking on his kids when he ran into Jez?

The mental gymnastics needed to support these theories would be hilarious if it wasn’t such a serious, sad topic.

Jeremy wasn’t one of the tapas 7

To get back to the original point, you responded to a poster’s statement about jeremy’s account and tried one up her by stating she is misinformed
That was Jane tanner by the way . Maybe it's you who doesn't know much about this alleged abduction

When actually it was you who was wrong and spouting misinformation. Cringe. And all you’ve done since then is shift goalposts and deflect.
Just own it and we will move on.

    Depraved pedo yes .

Off the hook for what though? So we all sure he's responsible for this ? Must be the 10th suspect we are on at this stage

The thing is retro I think that while being critical of decision made by the Mc Canns and voicing that I can also see that that decision will be punishing them till they die
No one deserves that pain and no one deserves the horror they must now once again be facing .
The vulnerability of a child left in that apartment is stricking when you walk past that apartment . Its sad that no one took that on board and seemed oblivious of that glaring fact
But despite all that I think The Mc Canns are their own worst critics and probably cannot ever forgive themselves . They dont need us to add to their feelings of guilt
They made the ultimate mistake and the punishment is more than anyone can bear and they carry it daily .
I just hope that this latest story can lead to closure and answers , although horrendous to contemplate it must be easier to get answers than never to know

I’m sure everyone can agree on all sides that this is the most solid, promising lead we’ve had in 13 year’s.
German prosecutors have written to Madeleines to tell them they have concrete proof she is dead. Even if he didn’t do it he must be involved in some way that they managed to get this evidence.
That surely must count for something.

Does it matter if he’s the 100th suspect? If you actually cared about what happened to Madeleine you would be hopeful that this may lead to something. Not treat it as an inconvenience and something that is getting on the way of your relentless parent shaming.

Of course I care and am hopeful it leads to closure . I still cant forgive the parents for leaving a 3 yr old girl all alone to succumb to a monster

Maybe it's because you can't control what a sick monster might do . But you can control looking after your children properly .

You're not getting the rulebook here.

Unless you believe the parents are innocent.

    You can't care for Madeline.

Funnily enough. A lot of the posters been pointed at as "Anti-Mcann"

Care more about Madeline than her parents actions have shown tbh.

Just saw a report there on sky news. Apparently german authorities are asking to re-test a DNA sample(saliva) found near the scene that the portuguese authorities have (They are refusing)

Sky reports that they still don't have enough forensice evidence, yet still claim they have concrete evidence she is dead.

Also apparently that CB told his lawyer he had nothing to do with this Madeleline's disappearance.

SCOTLAND Yard has ignored an offer by a leading forensic scientist to re-test "inconclusive" DNA samples in the hope of finally solving what happened to Madeleine McCann, reports claim.

Why the inverted commas? The person who labelled you “Anti Mc Cann” was ShineOn7.. she is on your side of the argument..

I don't understand why you want to keep having these jibes at me.

It's ok for two adults to have differentiating opinions without these childish jibes.

I'm not making any against you. Can you refrain from making them about me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,039 ✭✭✭✭retro:electro

No jibes. I said it did refer to you, then I said maybe it doesn’t. You didn’t like it either way.

    Okay ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Moving on..

The Portuguese police probably see the bumbling efforts of ze Germans and said, feck that, everyone thought the same of us too. Nope.

British police have access to the samples used for DNA too, AFAIR they were analysed in a lab in Britain somewhere. Nope, they won't share either.

It is getting more and more absurd.

Truly bizzare multiple running sh|t shows.

Is there delays in British post?

This letter seems to be taking for ever, or did they receive it yet?

Sorry now, but this entire event is a sh!tshow on many levels.

But even so, it would be good if ze Germans manage to nail this man. I have to say I have my cynical hat firmly on my head, but who knows?

I have to laugh at those castigating the "bumbling Portuguese Police". Honestly, this saga is the most bizarre thing I have ever come across and deserves scrutiny and cynicism of the highest order with regard to everyone involved.

Had that earlier today with a poster, personal attacks instead of dealing with the comments. It seems some don't understand the concept 'play the ball, not the man'.
I'm beginning to think the ultimate desire is an echo chamber where only one opinion or position is allowed.
