    Did he do any research whatsoever before starting this process? I mean if you are doing something as mundane as importing a car you would do basic Google searches. Sounds like he deliberately ignored any information that was available.

    Years ago, a friend was knocking about with (and knocking off) a young wan who I'd have sworn was 18/19. Only when another friend recognised her as being a niece of someone he knew was the cat out of the bag. 14, ffs.
    My friend was about 24 at the time.

    ps., in Scotland the age of legal legover is 16
