Past hobbies

Hacking Linux/ apache web server, but i gave that up in favour of creative writing, which i do 6 days a week.

I want to go back to the hacking, especially looking at the Linux kernel. Actually, I want to try to write my own operating system.

Ahhh, there's just not enough hours in the day.

I used to do lot of tribal beadwork when I was younger,for the tourists.Still have the loom and seed beads,but just can't find the motivation for it now.

Cycling and golf. I used to do lots of both but now my cycling is a commute (short) and golf is about 4 rounds a year.
Problem with golf is it is not worth the investment for the time poor.

I used to be a total DIY nut and a pretty good one, but took on larger and larger projects until one day realised that the time spent on what was supposed to be a hobby though satisfying was getting way out of control.
