    Hi,

What should the net be for a single person on 50k?

No children or contributions to health insurance or pension.

Would a 4 weekly pay of approx 2800 sound correct?

    Thank you

Easily calculated with one of many online tax calculators. For 50k you are paying
    €13,213 total tax.

You will net €3,066 monthly pay and €707 weekly.

Google Income tax calculator 2020 (I am not allowed to link as I am a new user)

Thanks for this :) I have used that before but Revenue told me I am getting taxed correctly. I know €2800 is still good but I can't understand why I am not getting what all the tax calculators say I should be getting which is approx 3000 like your calculation

You're both correct. 2800 for 4 weekly, you'll get 3500 ish for 5 week month.

€700 a week is €2800 for 4 weeks! Is it monthly paid or 4 weekly?

    Hi,

That must explain it then. I get paid 4 weekly so that makes sense :)

There are 4.333 weeks in 1 month so by your own calculations you’re getting 3,033 a month.

The OP references that there's no contributions to either.

Didn’t spot that. Seems to be down to equating 4 weeks to a month anyway

That's over 5 years ago. I'm sure it's sorted by now,

It's clearly shown on all posts yet you keep missing it. 🤔
