So with the lockdown getting all the choirs done and car washing one of them that kills time. Got a Karcher Power washer and tried it last week with Karcher shampoo but now looking for refills. I am no cleaning / car expert as would go to local business to get this done.Just going to clean it down first and then shampoo it and then wipe it down. Not sure about polish maybe wax to protect it

I dont want to spend a small fortune so just want are the main products I should get ? Dont want all bell and whistles as car is used daily and builds up bird crap and muc regularly . Something to get it looking good for the weekend..........when per Murphys law it will probably rain :-(

Nothing to strenuous ha ha just something to kill the time

Was looking at the Autoglym Shampoo. So take it just add required amount into Karcher and add water and spray accordingly/ Sorry for all the Homer questions just been so lazy pre lock down never really looked at washing car by hand but now taken an interest in it and keeps kids amused

Read this thread and also going on Halfords website but its trying to decide whats the best

All suggestions welcome as what else is there to do in these Crazy times

If you're just starting off, then take some time to read through the thread properly.
Loads of guys here know exactly what they're doing

So some asshat truck driver thought it’d be clever to undertake me in a bus lane. Whole bonnet is filthy as well. Looks like I was rallying :pac:. Hope it’s not too windy tomorrow and I’ll give it a clean. Might run a hose over it tonight just to clear it up.

Anyone still waiting on the Wo-Wo order? Mine shipped 11 days ago and no sign of it.

I emailed them and they sent tracking info, it's in An Post since Monday.

If its coming from England i have been informed that royal mail have an up to 30 day delay on items. I have an item that arrived in Cardiff and has been there for the past 2 weeks. They have a lot more mail to process and less people to do it.

Driving would be so much better if it wasn't for everyone else on the road :pac:

    This might explain my delays.
I have an order from the USA going to my parcel motel and it landed in London on 2nd may. Hasn’t moved since.

Is there not a power washer shampoo alternative available

Got the below with Karcher so possibly something to refill it with to spray car with shampoo

    https://www.halfords.ie/motoring/car-cleaning/car-shampoo/362541.html

    Cheers

    Ignore that stuff.

As mentioned above, get a bucket, wash mitt and proper shampoo.

Storm made a ****e of the car! Anyone know of any pay as you go powerwashers in Dublin? (the ones where you throw in coins to buy time!) - Normally drive back to Galway to give the car a proper wash, but stuck in the apartment and no water source aside from the bucket and mitt!

Want to give it a good rinse down!

What part of Dublin are you in?

There are 2 petrol stations on the Merrion road between booterstown and Blackrock with them. One is an applegreen and I think the other is texaco.

Got sorted in Kilmainham Circle K! Had a jet was there! Drove around and many were closed / out of service!

    Happy out now

Anyone here usually order off Slims ? I was told that when my item is shipped id get an email or text but have still yet to. Also when I log into my account my order status is "complete", not sure if that would mean it's sent though.

I’ve only ordered from them once but it was to a NI address and mobile number (still haven’t actually seen the order as it was the start of March and I’ve been stuck in Dublin since!). I got a text from morelli group when it was dispatched but no email.

My last 2 Slims orders (both placed within a day of each other) arrived in a few days despite the order status not updating and not getting any update emails. It looked as though the order was still in their warehouse until it was delivered.

Hopefully that's the case, order was placed on the 19th so hopefully it arrives in a couple of days.

On the subject of Slims. Has anyone got a promo mail from them recently? I used to get 2 or 3 a week but haven’t got any in over a month.

I'd say they're just up the walls and don't need to send out promotion emails as stuff is selling itself.

    Hi all.
I'm hoping to get some recommendations on either websites or shops which sell detailing supplies (at a reasonable price) and deliver to Ireland.
What I'm struggling to find is Meguiar's mirror glaze ultra cut compound and Meguiar's mirror glaze ultra finishing polish as most on Amazon won't deliver to Ireland.

Please share your recommendations if you have any!

Try using address pal for your Amazon order.

There staff is probably operating on a skeleton crew so guys operating the systems for order updates and emails are possibly not working at the minute or not long back to work trying to figure out where to begin after couple months off.

I’d an order on the 16th and it arrived yesterday morning, I’d say give it another day or two.

Edit- anyone ever get their DPD tracker code to work? It’s never worked for me

Would you not try Scholl S20 ?

I’m hoping for a deal on an ibrid, so hope they haven’t sold too well :D

Being honest I hadn't heard of it until now. Would you recommend it over Meguiar's?

    Both are good products,
But the Scholl S20 can be used as a one step polish that has a long worktime.
