    Hi!
I'm looking at buying either a car or van, but need it to be cost efficient. (Want to be able to stand 2 bikes in the back.)

Can anyone give me the real MPG of various vans, as I think the manufacturers figures tend to be a bit imaginative.

    Thanks

    2006 130bhp Transporter does low 30s to mid 30's

Bike motorbike or bike bike ?? I mean a berlingo will take two mtb's on their side

Honestjohn does Realmpg for more popular vans-:scroll down to the bottom of each brands page.

Spritmonitor.de does some Vans too, here's link to advanced search, I'd advise refining a bit. It does l/100km

Push bike, but if it can carry 2 mtbs, all the better, thanks.

Thanks, I'd been looking at vehicles then checking them against honest John's. Seen vans advertised as having great mpg but then finding it's only 35 mpg is disappointing.

    Thanks

My Berlingo 1.6 hdi has a lifetime average of 6.0l/100km (47mpg) over 115,000km. It fits my road bike and a couple of kids bikes in the back no problem.

Edit: assuming the trip computer is accurate. I’ve never checked it fill to fill, but I have no reason to think it’s that far off.
