It will be very unfair if the expiry of this panel is not extended.

People travelled to Dublin multiple times for tests and interviews, spent money on travel expenses and spent a lot of their time studying for these things.

The panel has been pretty much paused since Feb/Mar, whatever time this lasts should be added on.

Hi Polka Dottie. I was 14 for Kildare and haven't been called. I contacted public jobs and they advised that they have only called the first 13 for interview. This would appear to be incorrect if you scored in the 70s for kildare or is your interview for Meath?

    Hi

I only assume it was for Meath. It didn’t specify in the message what county it was for. I was asked what my OOM was and I gave it for both places I applied for. I haven’t gone back through the thread but I thought they had called up to Number 20 for interview in Meath last year - I might be wrong on that.

Hi talks, what batch are you in? I was Batch 1 OOM 31 after Stage 2 and have interviewed

I only got my stage 2 results in September so not too long a wait here. I’m delighted, I’m placed 1st for Clare. I’ve been at home for the last 10 years so was very nervous and also very surprised - at both the position and the pace they put the panel together.

Well done to you. You shouldn't be waiting too long

Placed in the single digits myself but haven't heard a word from them in months. I was worried it was never going to move (still holding hope). Best of luck with it.

I'm very high up in batch 1.2 (after interview) and I'm still waiting for placement.

Not sure. My OOM was in the late 20's after the supervised tests and I'm in batch 2.
I had my interview last August and got told my new OOM around the end of August. It's extremely slow.

Which county are you in? This is the 1st movement on the Clare comp since supervised assessments. It’s a very slow process.

Cork, but applied for Clare as one of my selections (long story). Best of luck with it SAHM2017. I haven't had an interview yet so I was giving up hope. Just glad to see it moving.

This is brilliant news, no movement for Clare since I sat the supervised tests in February 2019 - I thought it was over though I was placed high also.

I wonder how many they interviewed for Clare starting off?

Not a Clue Alan, I was 4th after supervised tests and the interviews were held over 2 days so 12/15 maybe?

I know there have been 7 interviewed from the Open Stream and 2 from Interdepartmental. Great to see things moving forward!!

Zoom interview was probably strange at the start though?

I was told at the end of last week the panel is due to expire in September, and that a new competition will be advertised in the near future....

Waiting a long time to be called even those placed high in the county panels and to be told that is a real kick in the teeth after travelling to Dublin etc.

So many months have passed without activity and the panel expiration date gets brought forward too..Tough times

I thought the panel would have ran into early next year, some counties seemed to have had some movement in last 2-3 weeks, maybe in preparation for the new competition being announced......

Did you hear this from PAS? The Dublin one is due to expire August so they may be running a new one for the whole country instead of two separate ones similar to how they ran the CO competition this time.

I know my county did start interviews until November so panel wasn’t in place until that point so it’s less than 6 months old now. They had been using previous panel (2016) until that point. It’s not a small county and does have movement so a lot of people would have had a reasonable chance of being placed and will have had the expense of two trips to Dublin for a panel lasting less than a year.

I emailed PAS for an update. They replied and said stated panel will expire in September and to keep an eye out for new competition which will be advertised in the near future. I didn't enquire about Dublin, so assume it's the Nationwide panel which will expire.

Panel was only set up 1 year ago and Covid has left it at a standstill. People in batch 1 not even interviewed yet . Dublin 2018 EO panel is still going. So can see this going well into 2021.

I am on a panel and emailed a few days ago asking if panel would be extended beyond January 2021.
They advised it was too early to say whether it would be extended beyond its predicted end date. My email was on the back of an email I got looking for people to express interest in GISC panel in mayo. Time limit was 10am this morning.
Had I known the panel would expire in September I'd have probably gone for the GISC positions.

The whole thing is a shambles really
