Are Broadband speeds effected with everyone at home?

Hi, I moved from Sky to Eir at the beginning of the year, I have FTTC. with Sky I was receiving approx 29 mb Down and 7 mb up. When I moved to Eir it changed slightly, went to 28mb with eir, and 8 up. However since the Covid lockdown I am now reciving 18mb down and 8 up. Is this the same for everyone and to be expected, or…

Hi,

I moved from Sky to Eir at the beginning of the year, I have FTTC.

When I moved to Eir it changed slightly, went to 28mb with eir, and 8 up.

However since the Covid lockdown I am now reciving 18mb down and 8 up.

Is this the same for everyone and to be expected, or is it likely Eir has dropped my spped for some reason?

We are with Eir and noticed it is unusable at some stages during the evening since the crisis started.

No issues here
But I have a virgin media circuit.

You get what you pay for with them.
