Cycling gear best bang for the buck shop/website

Hey Guys,

Looking to get back into doing some cycling again, and i am wondering which shops or websites do you find to be best for gear that you want. Obviously cycling gear is expensive and i am looking to buy a decent amount from shoes to helmet so any help would be much appreciated.

I find bike-discount.de (https://www.bike-discount.de/) is often the cheapest, but delivery can be quite slow at the moment due to Covid-19.

Closer to home, Chain Reaction Cycles (https://www.chainreactioncycles.com) is cheap and pretty quick. Although they use Fastway Couriers for delivery, and they can be awful.

Merlin cycles is probably the best bang for buck closer to home, based out of England free delivery.

Chain reaction/wiggle offer some good value own brand dhb clothing.

I only find german websites to be cheaper when bulk buying parts.

I used to always use chainreaction but have switched to bikediscount the last couple of years, hard to beat for value.

It’s always worth shopping around before you buy though.

French website Ekoi Ive found good in the past and if your going for a pricier item they do an interest free payment option

If you want to keep it local, cyclesuperstore are good, esp with the CI 12.5% discount & free delivery. UK based pbk is reasonable too!

For cycle clothing check out Galibier.cc Excellent quality, reasonable prices and they're Irish.

Galibier my "go to" for clothes, but have brought (clothes/ shoes/ tyres/ components) from Merlin, Wiggle/ CRC, Evans, Sports Pursuit...

Often the more UK based give a better exchange rate than Chain Reaction, even though they're on the same island (this isn't a new thing, with the wiggle takeover either).
