Electric shears

    Any of thesw electric cabled clippers good for shearing sheep? Only have about. 60
    Dont want to buy a full shearing machine...

    Have a look on the horner website for a wider choice. Theres a few around the country that stock his stuff as well.

    Bought the rambo battery shears two years ago.. Horner does them and I was advised they were better than the razor battery shears. While it's excellent dor dagging I wouldn't like shearing many sheep with it. Have a lister 3 speed shears as well and theirs no comparison. If ya intended on shearing just a few at a tike they might be sound

    What speed do you set the 3 speed at for shearing ? In the market for something myself as well. Ive heard mixed reviews thats its hard to get someone to do a good job grinding the combs

    It's set at 3200 rpm. The horner rambo is at 2800 and it seems to lack grunt or something but maybe that's cos the other one is mains powered. Not hard getting someone to sharpen them at right at all. Thats probably the easiest part of the whole job!

    I was looking at the 12v shearing machine they do. It runs at 3200. Not much more expensive then the rambo with a battery pack. Dont think I could stretch far enough or have the work for the 3 speed lister, even though they seem to be the rolls Royce of machines.
