Painting galvanised sheet roof

I've a large galvanised roof on a garage. Some the sheets are relatively new/good condition. Others are 20 + yrs rusty in parts, rough surface, faded paint. I painted a v rusty section of it 2 yrs with Galoxide and its after flaking off since. Whats the best way to do this job in terms of preperation/treatment/application/budget?

There are several treatments you can use on the rusty areas. The one I use is a primer made up of a 50/50 mix of Galoxide and Owtrol on the rusty areas, then at least one coat all over with Galoxide. The main coat also goes on better and seems to stick better if you add about 10% Owtrol. Its not a paint it and forget it fix but the rust stays painted over for about 5 years. The downside is Owtrol is expensive.

Weathershield satinwood for metal/ timber ,not cheap,but quick easy,no undercoating etc,lasts for years
PS if on WhatsApp etc can show you my front door etc
I've used on jobs for about 4 years and wouldn't recommend it otherwise, cheapest in black,feel free to pm for any advice

I'd normally get a wire brush to the rusty bits and get as much rust off as possible. Sweep off the debris before applying the Galoxide. The attached photo shows the difference between wire-brushing and not. My shed is the one on the right.
