Doesn’t seem to be any evidence to support these claims.
There isn't which is why I'm awaiting for the evidence to be compiled/cleared and will re-evaluate when that time comes.

So why does a fake twitter profile for an 'NHS Doctor' named 'Susan' have a profile photo that is actually of a nurse called Mia who was featured on a respected Trade Union's website?
In fairness anyone could have created those accounts and tweets. I'm waiting to see what evidence there is to link them to the DHSC.

Forgive me as I`m probably mistaken but I have to ask. Do you begrudge the UK getting PPE from Turkey?

Its not the crises here, its the cover up. All countries are struggling with PPE and hospital beds and testing, but the only country that seems to tell its people that it is not the government's fault is the UK.

Take the PPE story, we were told that there was enough PPE and the reason there was shortages was because of, the trouble getting it to areas in the UK and then later staff using too much of it contributing to the problem. So there was never an admission that they could run out or that the government had made a mistake, they went after staff usage first before they admitted they are struggling with this crises. But clap on Thursday evening for those same staff.

Then to mitigate the story that there will be a shortage this weekend we were told there is a shipment coming from Turkey. A total of 84 tonnes of equipment would arrive on Sunday, but now they have had to send an aircraft to Turkey to try and pressure them into releasing the equipment. But the aircraft they have sent will not be enough for the whole of the 84 tonnes that we were told they would be getting on Sunday.

Do you understand where this is going so far? They denied there is a shortage, then went on to blame everyone, including the NHS staff!!! They then acknowledged there could be shortages this past weekend but they have a plan, when it seems the plan isn't really a plan and the goods they said were on the way isn't on the way at all, who's fault is this?
With a series of deadlines set by UK ministers missed, the British government has blamed its Turkish counterpart for causing the delays.

Well that’s blatantly wrong. The UK government has taken ownership and accountability (I know this is an Irish forum and political accountability is a foreign concept) for all of these actions. That is why every day a government minister is standing up in front of the press and giving update.

That was the problem though, no one thought otherwise. The thing with PPE though, is that it runs out.

They haven’t blamed anyone. They have reasons and they took ownership.

I follow god on Twitter. There’s a picture of him as well.

Are you suggesting it might be fake and could have been set up by anyone?

I bet it was Dominic Cummings.

The DHSC have replied to his tweets flat out denying it. Will be interesting to see if anything comes from it all.

They've sent about 30 or so tweets out to various people saying that they are spreading disinformation on Twitter now. This has Dominic Cummings and the recent guy that they hired who did the election campaign's earmarks all over it.

I note they have also started publishing anonymous blogs hitting out at aspects of the media as well, which is very strange since every other news article and blog on their site happens to have a name next to it.

I just googled fake NHS nurse and all I found was this https://www.nursingtimes.net/news/policies-and-guidance/welsh-labour-campaign-video-featuring-fake-nurse-pulled-15-11-2019/

    Dominic Cummings again, I’m sure.

The account was clearly fake that was pointed out earlier, the profile photo belonged to a Mia, a nurse who is a member of Unison who is clearly featured in an article on their website, despite the fact that some twitter account claiming to be Susan is portraying it as her picture (of course making sure to crop the photo so the name Mia is hidden).

The above is undoubtedly the truth and any obsession that you have with Labour, since you keep bringing them up to deflect from the above doesn't change that. People don't need to deflect when they have a robust argument, they deflect because they are trying to steer the narrative about something they don't really wish to talk about because it's uncomfortable.

More speculation based on Twitter. I think the government have bigger fish to fry at the minute.

Speaking about the bigger fish The Guardian have an interesting article on the different views in cabinet on keeping the lockdown long term.

Interesting that they put Boris Johnson and Matt Hancock in the same category on maintaining it. Alok Sharma, Dominic Raab and Gavin Williamson in the middle and Michael Gove, Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak in favour of loosening.

I personally anticipate that there's going to be an extension before the VE public holiday but that it is going to be difficult to argue for another after this given the pressure that is building.

Almost every Conservative Party advert analysed during a period of the election campaign was found to be misleading, compared with none of Labour’s, research has found.

Some 88 per cent of the most widely circulated Tory ads during the first four days of December included inaccurate claims, according to disinformation tracking organisation First Draft.

The ads included false claims about the NHS and income tax, as well as the Labour Party and its plans, it said.

No it wasn't but I am fairly certain this was (link)

Which is why you have posters on this thread challenging what we are being told about the response to Covid-19.

Agree with this. I can see them just about convinving the public to play along over the bank holiday if they balance it with fewer restrictions after.

It would be crazy to open it up before hand as two weeks later there would be another spike, which they seem very keen to avoid.

They will be watching to see how other countries fare in Europe over the next two weeks to inform what they will do.

The accounts which are proven to be fake stealing photos of genuine NHS staff and applying a different name and profession in the NHS are also very much towing the government line. I do not know anyone in the NHS who would speak this way.

As soon as you read it, it comes across as government propaganda
    EWFCRLGVAAgoZPz?format=png&name=small

But if you're saying it's genuine, find me one, just one genuine NHS worker account that was set-up before the pandemic in January that has a similar narrative. If it's not government propaganda then you should be able to find many without a problem. I suspect you won't though.

Another baseless claim based on zero evidence. I don't know who in government has so much time for this at the moment.

So a fake account appears on Twitter, someone claims (without any evidence whatsoever) that it was the DHSC and that is a fact and it was obviously started by the Tories and Dominic Cummings?

I googled to find out if there was any truth and the only thing that appears is a false advert by Labour

And apparently I’m obsessed with Labour?

Do you ever read your own posts?

I've barely mentioned the word Labour myself, although you keep bringing it up again and again and again in a furious attempt to deflect from the subject at hand. Yesterday it was the Irish government numbers, today it's about how testing is about capacity and not testing and tonight you keep bringing Labour up despite the fact that nobody else is.

We're not stupid, we can see right through it.

Another baseless claim based on zero evidence. I don't know who in government has so much time for this at the moment.

Well clearly some people have time in government, considering the anonymous attacks on the FT and the ST that were written last night and the person from the DHSC who is going around tonight and tweeting vast amounts of people telling them not to believe disinformation.

So they're clearly spending a lot of time on social media and watching it like a hawk.

If you're getting your news about coronavirus on social media you're doing something wrong.

Speculation based on what's on there is even worse. Particularly when the speculation involves assuming a deep state conspiracy without evidence.

I guess I'm much more interested in actual news.

Instead of clapping for the NHS staff this Thursday, maybe they can look into who is stealing the photo's of real staff probably at the front lines and using it to push an agenda. That would be the first reply I would have said, "We are looking into the theft of our NHS staff data to promote an agenda and we take the theft of data seriously when those same staff are at the front lines working to save lives. We will be reporting this to the Police with immediate effect."

    Instead we get,

How is the Turkey PPE equipment coming along? Why has there been a delay? Turkey has no problem shipping PPE to the UK, so why the sudden delay over the weekend? Almost like they weren't prepared for the order or something?

There's a strange pattern on this thread where someone posts a tenuous bit of speculation on the thread and then when questioned asks the person who asked them for evidence to prove that the speculation is false.

    No thanks.
