Handling the sausage -- First timer

Hi,
I've being doing DIY for years, and usually just use the standard 300ml Tec7 type tubes...
I recently got a load of 600ml sausages with sealant in them, but the sausage gun I got from Lidl, is only a 300ml one....Can I cut the sausage in half and use it that way, maybe wrap the unused half in a plastic bag to keep it?
It's an Illbruick 295 sealant or something like that.

Thanks for any advise, I guess you'd need to be in construction to have used these before.

It is.
You can get a foil cartridge gun like this one.
Not sure where you get one in Dublin these days though.

Here's the gun(lidl) and one of the 12 foil packs I have

and I noticed the nozzles are slightly different ....maybe the 600ml nozzle is slightly smaller then a 300ml one??
Do you know if these nozzles are supposed to be standard or do they changed with every gun

I'd say you would get away with cutting the sausage in half, from using the 600ml one in the past, as long as the sausage width isn't wider and fits n the gun. Sika Ireland have the larger guns if you need one, not sure if they are open now though

That I don't know, I was never a fan of the foil myself tbh but looking at the Lidl one, I guess it will shred the top of the foil when you only really need a couple of small cuts with a blade to it.
