Why don't you put the effort into getting some real money back

Padraig Shine. FG candidate took a state subsidy of 42k per yer and didn't pay rent on a building he contracted.

Not to mention the other 200k of state funded money he squandered.

    Wait.

If SF rules are avg ind wage.

    She' getting 40k?

One lot of you are saying she's getting avg ind wage. Won't lose out on giving the 8k

The other lot are sayng she's on 96k+ so she would have benifited from the 8k she gave back to the state

    Which is it?

Shinners haven’t done the avg industrial wage for nearly 10 years. They all get the full salary

    Super news.

So she would have benefited from the 8k euro she gave back to the state.

    Glad this is all sorted.

    Lets hope so

The 8k euro back to the state is great to see

Not many TD's with that moral fiber. Could do with more of them :)

Pity her moral fiber didn’t stretch as far as paying a measly €63 a week to a housing charity for 6 years.

Hopefully not down to the house not been up to standard.

Hope the kids were not affected in any way.

    We all make mistakes

Some cause young women to die of cervical cancer.

    Or stop kids getting chemo

Some fall behind on their rent.

I know who I'd rather give a chance to

And 8k back to the state is a great start

True, no one is buying her (or your) bs.
How long would it take to get 12k up
    Why wait?
If she was serious, she could take out a loan and repay in full now.
...but thats never going to happen.
To add to that, I don't know if she hasn't paid it
She hasn't. Count on it. She'd have told us all about it.

I imagine putting herself into debt to make a donation to a different charity when she has 5 kids and a sick husband etc to support not very savvy.

But giving back 8k euro back to the state is great to see.

That will be 32k euro over 4 years if she stays a TD.

Hopefully whom ever in government can do something decent with it instead of pulling money away from charities providing homes :)

Not much good to the charity whose generosity was abused in such a shameful way.

Imagine staying for six years and bringing children into an unstable house?

The rest of your post is rubbish.

Probably better than bringing them up in the street

It's not like FG were providing huge amounts of options...

FG then pulled the plug on them.

    During a housing crisis.

    Go team.

Because the people they were set up to support thanked them by not paying the paltry sum requested.

Moral Fibre? You're having a laugh

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

All I know is she made a deceleration to give to the state 8k euro as a TD she's entitled to.

At a time when other TD's are looking for WFH policies to get more money from the state

Great to see/hear from any TD/Party.

Spin it anyway you want. That's what she did

On today’s news it said that NO TD had asked for more for working from home. That was a SF fantasy.

Debunked by the houses of the Oireachtas officially, that story was a fabrication.

It was picked up and spread on Twitter by the usual gang of Shinnerbots on there. Objective was achieved, the spreading of fake news to denigrate other parties and politicians. It is a Johnson/Trump tactic that Sinn Fein have adopted to great effect.
