Deary me, arguing on Facebook like a teenager and with grammar like a child, it would make you sad to think that she's actually a sitting TD.

Protest vote or not, the electoral in Clare should be ashamed of themselves.

    Very much so.

Nobody knew this woman, she's 0 ties to the local community and has only lived here a few years. How can she argue that she represents a community she does not know, and more shockingly why did people vote for her. Her lack of comminity ties really shows when she argues with the electorate she claims to represent on the very suitable platform of the comment section on a ClareFM article.

I was ashamed when I heard of the vote, however very few from West Clare actually voted for her. Anyone who'd heard of this woman prior to her electoral run had only heard bad things.

    It is curious, isn’t it?

Not a single SF supporter has become disillusioned since the election, it seems. You would expect, given the silence of the party, that some of them would be expressing concern.

Charity doesn't even exist anymore, largely thanks to her, so no money will ever be repaid. Her offer to donate money to another charity of her choosing is total BS.

Not just BS. It's the height of arrogance to talk about another charity rather than the victim. That is rubbing the victim's nose in it. "How dare you call us out publicly? Now you'll get nothing. Don't you know 'republicans' can do as they please?' "
Why on earth should any of you be surprised? This is the party that acted as apologist for some of the most terrible crimes ever visited on Irish people.

Clare people could have elected worse, as for instance convicted bomb makers or arms importers, not to talk of people who were never in the IRA.

TBF it was in Donegal. The locals tend to come out with pitchforks at the sign of any new fangled thing they think might be witchcraft.

They're like those "uncontacted" fellas on the island that speared the wannabe preacher to death a few years ago

This is the crowd who elected a T.D. on a "We want more t.v. channels" policy.
I suppose its a change from drawing the multitudes after seeing the face of Jesus on the side of a muck spreader

    And......

I'll be honest I find her election worrying. For one reason that the biggest party in opposition seem to have such a paucity of options and two that people voted for someone with no history of public service or a positive impact in such numbers to get election (and am aware many have said there is a lack of options).

I know a few in North Clare who voted for her as a "change vote". An absolute wasted vote. We'd laugh if it was the UK.

In a time when SF are looking like a party who could govern, candidates like this pushes them back years.

And before it starts I don't care about what aboutery.

    And......

More relevant than someones opinion on 5G to this particular thread.

Great to see all the same.

He might give it to harris to get a bit of PPE so we don't need to go begging Bono for money :)

Any truth to the rumour that she handed it back in old unusable Northern Bank notes? :P

Did you never hear the dictum: " be just before you are generous"? Here we go again: anybody but the victim.

    Go on defending the indefensible.

A bland, threadbare apology is met with a request for clarification by Edwina Radford, who is then treated to a torrent of abuse. The clarification is still in the post, and so is the disassociation from the dirty work i.e. the abuse of Ms. Radford. In effect, "how dare you ask a question of one of our public representatives?" Are these the same people who are shouting about being bullied by other parties? Add to that the deflection via the concern about the virus. SF were not always so concerned about human life. Mr. Trump's favourite word might best describe that kind of apology.

While other TD's are looking for big hands outs for working from home on massive wages while hundreds of thousands go on to the dole.

Here we have one handing back her 8k raise.

    Fair play to her.

Considering you're her #1 cheerleader one would assume you'd know.

So, basically, you've read all the stupid and awful things she's done, but love her because she gave back some of her wage?

    Don't love her at all.

Seem like a very decent thing to do. Giving back over 32k euro over the course of 4 years to the public coffers. Seems decent.

Beats clocking into the dail when you're not there to extract money you didn't work for.

So off the bat that's a hell of a lot of better than many other TD's

    Fair play to her.
