    Hi all,

I'm wondering if you can help me with a query.

I am currently based in the UK, and have been for the last 9 years. I was due to move back to Ireland this month, having secured a job at an Irish company that also have operations in the UK. Due to the complications presented by the coronavirus situation, I am now not able to move to Ireland for the foreseeable future and will be starting the job from home in the UK.

The company have asked that I provide bank details for my salary to be paid into. I am wondering two things really - should I request to be paid in sterling and does anyone know which country I should be paying tax in?

Has anyone had experience of similar before?

You pay tax in the country where you live.
