Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is there anyone who does regular egg deliveries (home, not commercial) in Galway City? Ideally reasonably priced?

Thanks--have just looked into the local mymilkman.ie prices, and it's awfully dear for eggs (3 euro for 6, which adds up very quickly since I'm looking to buy 18 or so eggs weekly), but I'll keep it in mind if I can't find a better deal!

It's costing us €2 for 6 eggs. €1 weekly delivery to cover all 1-3 delivery days. Maybe different milkmen set different charges.

You'd think there'd be an oversupply of eggs available with the hotels/restaurants suddenly closed

    Pharmacies I've seen delivering

    McSharry's Westside and Knocknacarra
    GoWest Pharmacy Westside
    AllCare Pharmacy Moycullen
    Careplus Pharmacy aka Mullins Salthil

    Other useful services :
If you have health insurance check and see if your policy offers a number of free online GP consultations. I found mine offers 3. I used their online service the other day, got an appointment 15 mins after logging in and saw the Dr on video call, had my prescription faxed to GoWest Pharmacy who delivered my antibiotic and some other bits an hr later at no extra charge! 1 thing was not in stock and they delivered it up next day instead and even offered not to change for the item though I insisted on paying. I used my card on the phone to pay and the left things outside my door. I didn't have covid but appreciated their efforts to limit interaction. Great experience!

Brilliant to see so many Galway businesses adapting so well.

It would be nice if there were reliable data on how long the virus remains infectious on surfaces.

You probably refer to food items, but bring it up in the general thread please.
