Members of AGS: notorious cheaters?

I would say they are slightly more promiscuous than others, but again, it's a small few that give the rest a bad name. Unfortunately, I couldn't be one of them when I was a member, not for lack of trying. Ever hear of badge bunnies? All they want to do is ride a Garda. Couldn't find any of them myself though.

When I ended the relationship with my last partner (she wanted kids, I didn't), I told her to stay away from Guards. Fast forward 5 months and she's ringing me asking if I know Garda Suchnsuch from X station. I asked why. Turns out she was 'in a relationship' with him and subsequently found out he had 4 girlfriends. My advice is good, why don't people listen?

It's still predominantly a male force (something like 73%), so when you're working 'with the lads' all day, and you do have a closer bond than most work colleagues, the bants and fun come out, and part of that is the ever present sexual horn dogs. Add the uniform to some of them, and a lot of women want them. And shur who is a young lad to say no? Even the older lads, but their promiscuous nature usually shines through at Christmas parties with the newbie on the unit. Not all mind, but from my limited experience of 1 station out of 500 odd stations. I've heard it echoed across other stations, but that's hearsay and not admissible in evidence.
