    Hi
How do I work it with the social welfare when employer has put employee from 5 day week, to 3 day week last week and 2 day week next week - this could possibly change again the week after??!!
Does a new form have to be filled out each week with an accompanying form from employer?
Don't have a PSC so need to use printed forms to send it.
Employer is being very awkward during this crisis unfortunately

    No,

afaik x and o only applies if you are unemployed for 4 days out of 7 or something similar

she would need to reduce a day each week in order to be entitled to casual work/x and o

please someone correct me on this if wrong, thanks

X and o is for casual workers. Casual work is where you have no guarantee of regular work and could be from any employer, not just one.

Reducing from 5 day to say 3 , temporarily by your employer would be classed as systematic short time work. A temp situation expected less than a year. So if you were entitled to jobseekers benefit, you could get paid for the days you were unemployed. You cant work more than 3 days to be unemployed. For SST workers, its based on 5 day payment and 5 days for calculating the lenghtbof time jb will last, Depending on contributions. So each day would be approx 40 euro, 203/5.. Hence if you worked three days, you could get 80 jb

But when its 3 days one week, 2 days next week, possibly 1 day the week after, does that require a new JSB form each week?

You fill in the x and o form each week, its the same form used if your classified as casual.
