Using Cisco cp-8811 as landline

Hi Folks.

I have Eir FTTH with the Eir router (new connection) and have a Cisco phone. The phone needs a PSU which I don't have or a router capable of powering it. It takes 48V DC to power it using a PSU.

Any ideas on how to get this working without buying the PSU as they are expensive.

I was looking at them on Amazon and they are about €60 someone was saying you could use the router as a Power supply..

Not going to happen. Doesn't eir supply a PSTN port for a normal phone and line?

These things are designed for routers with PoE injection but the Spec would suggest that a basic IEEE 802.3af PoE Injector should work using a non PoE router.

This is an IP phone, you’re going to need a SIP server to run it off.

Ah here, it was just an example of what you need, of course there at cheaper options out there.. You can't be expecting us to do all the searching for you!
