Hp Reverb

Anyone got one, if so how do you find it? Thinking of getting one for the high resolution. I only play sim racing and flight sims so better resolution over my Rift would be nice.

I wear glasses too, is there room in there for them cos there isn't in my Rift.

No stock anywhere so point is moot!

I'm confused by Amazon listing though, there's two. HP Reverb and HP gaming viewfinder Reverb. Anyone know what the story is with that?

I have one. It's phenomenal for seated games, I usually Heavy cable so standup games are more challenging. A lot of people hang the cable from the ceiling to remove the problem. That said, I've used The Lab and was standing up for hours with no problem. I wear glasses and it's fine.

One thing... the Reverb needs a fairly beefy PC to run it properly. Lower spec PCs will not fit the bill. My specs are:

I7 8700k
RTX 2070 Super
16gb RAM

Overall it's a brilliant headset. The only difference between the Consumer and Pro version is the headset foam is leatherette on the Pro.

Thanks for that mate. I'm OK on the pc front, i7 6700k and a 2080ti. Gpu is fine anyway, maybe cpu might show its age a bit, we'll see. Should be fine though.

I notice online alot of chat about the software ipd settings being good for some and not so much for others, any issues for you on that score? Or the apparently quite small sweet spot?l of the screen?

Also found out today that HP, Microsoft and Valve are working on the what they call a "next gen VR" headset. So more to think about between now and whenever I can actually find a Reverb in stock on Amazon!
