Given how essential it is that all countries cooperate at all levels to fight this enemy of all nations/ nationalities, then how come that there is absolutely not a cuck from how it is panning out in Russia. It should be called out. Is it because the normal Russian is expendable to the powers that be in that country and it is adapting the original UK strategy’s?

I don't trust Putin's figures on anything, same goes for Iran and China

And if it impact US Asians that have never lived in China, have no connection to China, and simply because of their appearance can be attacked. Is that collateral damage?

Us Asians are American end of.

Stop trying to be pedantic and looking for a loophole to offend others.

The virus came from China end of story.
No ifs or buts about it.

20-25% of Irish cases are medical staff if I remember correctly, the vast majority will be okay but it's still a high price to pay.

Not all caught it in the line of duty, some travelled or caught it in other ways. Does anyone have figures on this?

It's not a slight on the majority of decent Chinese people but their commi government continues to ignore animal abuse.

Its usually animal lovers and vegans who share these horrific clips on the Internet.

They're as sick as the perpetrators if you ask me.

The "US army" rumour skellig_rocks is referring to was tweeted by a member of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Lijian Zhao, I don't know how to embed the tweet but here's the link :

Again you keep ignoring the fact that US Asians are being assaulted based on his words. Who gives a flying fcuck if US Army allegations crossed the line in your opinion. What impact did it have on the US Army. Did it explode. Did it perish. It made no impact. Now, what impact on US Asians did his words have.

What does brain washing feel like? And just as you said ‘cross the line’ which one of Trumps lies and failures crossed the line in your opinion.

"Are being assaulted "? Are they really though? Ffs I hate trump as much as the next person, and I have to live here. Why not start a new thread to bitch about him in relation to coronavirus?

People are letting their excitement at the prospect of americans suffering show again. Good for you

Strange logic there. Suppose it was Maurice McCabe's fault for exposing the corruption that was there in the Guards

Even the other day 1 child was outside playing on her own and the 4 year old goes “I know I can’t go out and play with X because of the corona virus” etc.

She is 4 and gets it

Research has established the samples from Italy are all related to Bavaria Patient 1 (shortened in BavPat1)

The patient in Bavaria was infected by a colleague from China.

There will be very few businesses in the private sector that will not experience a severe downturn in net income/profit apart from food and the GP sector. Salaries of civil servants are safe unless the Gov runs out of money. I wonder if the politicians/ senators/ Co Councillors are thinking of considering a salary reduction so as to show genuine empathy for the public at large which is being seriously financially chalanged.
AFTER ALL , it is your and my tax payments that goes towards paying their salaries and EXPENSES and if our incomes are negatively affected less tax is paid and therefor the expenses that are incurred and that are paid for from these taxes should be accordingly reduced

Trump is right to call it the chinese virus , if the chinese are trying to weasel out of their ****show by blaming the US. It came from china because of their disgusting culture around animals.

There's a case that Spanish flu which killed between 50,000,000 to 100,000,000 people should be called kansas /American flu.

Look at my post on 6728. It outlines every single one of Trumps lies. Mistruths. Refusal to take WHO tests as he was developing his own. Publicly promising millions of test to be available but never materialised. Declaring that it was fully contained and down to zero which meant people were not socially distancing and exposing themselves to infection without their knowledge.

I did not comment about his other lies. I was only adding a bit of context related to his "Chinese virus" comment.

Again you deliberately remove blame from Trump. Ok put it this way, if Bejing said that the US Army manufactured the virus. How many Americans were attacked. What impact did it have on fcucking anything. Tell me. Now, as I have asked before what impact does it have on US Asians, and indeed Asians all over the world.

Again I never supported his choice of words. But I understand why he uses it. His objective is to make Beijing stop the allegations. May be it is ugly, but what else can he do?

Honestly, if the allegation was made (which I haven’t seen) about the US army, the US army have done a lot worse. What makes it even more strange, is if you are Chinese, do you not care about the impact on US Asians including Chinese. What hard0n do you have for the US Army?

To be honest I feel shameful my native country would used such tactic to deflect their domestic blame to US. And a lot of people in China are buying into "US Army" theory. This is how scary "1984" style (Full controlled Internet, no independent press, real time mobile phone tracking, CCTV everywhere, patriotic education from primary education) propaganda machine can do to their population. If China can get away with this crisis, same mistakes will happen again and again (remember SARS only 18 years ago and they were saying they would ban wildlife animal trade). I want to see more transparent, accountable, responsible China, which would benefit their citizens and the world. I don't think blaming US Army would achieve better China.

    Until further notice.

Do you have one or two of those drawers or presses. You know the ones where you fire absolutely every piece of crap in to? To take your mind off the grog, you could tackle those drawers.

That’s my plan anyway for some day soon.

It's not a slight on the majority of decent Chinese people but their commi government continues to ignore animal abuse.

While I am also disgusted by this it is important to understand the sheer poverty that lead to these type of markets existing. I’m not defending them at all but it’s important to understand the level of poverty some people experienced in China in the 1970’s that resulted in this type of trade. It is also only a minority of people who consume these products.

If there is any silver lining to this it will be the laws being introduced to ban wildlife trade for food consumption. This is also due to extend to cats and dogs ( so I have heard on news channels reporting this). This is very good progress for a country that currently has ZERO animal welfare standards.

We also need to address the animal abuse happening on our on shores - industrial factory farming of pigs and chickens is very cruel, if you stepped into a typical pig farm you’d never touch it again.

We ALL need to think about our food and choices of how we live.

    Yes

    Key points:

a decent fraction (10/43) of sequenced viruses sampled after Feb 1 belong to a particular genetic lineage
This lineage contains viruses sampled from Germany, Switzerland, Finland, Italy, Brazil and Mexico
At the base of this lineage lies the sample Germany/BavPat1/2020. This was "patient 1" in Bavaria who was infected by a business colleague visiting from China.

Incredibly, it appears that this cluster containing Germany/BavPat1/2020 is the direct ancestor of these later viruses and thus led directly to some fraction of the widespread outbreak circulating in Europe today
