Dr.Holohan says no justification for lockdown yet.

That'll really piss people off here.

Baffling as to why, shur it'll only kill a few percent of people more, mostly old.

So,by Mr Holohan,No corona in about 1 week time ! We back to normal from next week Friday ! Start spending ladz ! Leo economy need Boost !
No, 30% is not fixed in stone, some days will be higher some lower but they are expecting 350 a day by Sunday. Zero is a long way away but they are hoping that with the current measures it will be lower rise per day once we get into next month.

Likely since they only test around 1.2-1.3k x 10 per day.

Awful. I think there's a family in the USA where 4 members have died from the coronavirus.

Extremely telling. Wonder has influenza ever hit a family like that?

It is one of the greatest mystery of all time , no hospital crisis if u took out the virus just amazing

Less alcohol related injuries, no sports injuries, less traffic incidents, less work related injuries and many treatments and ops cancelled. No mystery.

A deal is imminent to convert Citywest Hotel in west Dublin into a life saving health campus. Built by the late businessman Jim Mansfield, the hotel is strategically located and has 756 rooms.

A deal was agreed, due to start in 2 weeks for a duration of 12 months. HSE are also trying to secure a few other local hotels for a shorter period. Red Cow hotel rejected the idea

It can only be effectively done for about 4 weeks before people begin to ignore it is why. After that economic damage can also be disproportionate to what they are trying to do.

12 months is a worrying amount of time

How can one have natural immunity to a new virus, other than being born to a mother with acquired immunity?

Maybe it's not as new as we think, it could be centuries old. Maybe it crossed over before in the middle ages. Supposedly approx 10% of us are immune from HIV, another "new" virus!

    Ok,If I spaming,please explaine the mr Holohan nrs please,Yesterday 190 cases,today 120 !

Would you prefer lotto or euro million type numbers?
The lower the better. Everyday, the count starts at 0 and ends somewhere. The closer to zero that is means the measures we are all asked to take are working. Thats why its so important that people stay at home and avoid contact with others.

Yes it is. 12 months is a thorn in everybody side. Clearly they are preparing for the long hall.

Totally agree, because teenagers in 2020 are irresponsible, careless, self absorbed, shallow, poorly dressed ****bags. Should have been more swallowing or curtain wiping in the early 2000’s and we wouldn’t have this problem now.

Ah I think teenagers of every generation is the same.

I wonder what I would be like in my day if this was going on.

It is but it's up to 12 months. Doesn't mean it will be the full year but it's better to be prepared

Damn this RTE player app is unusable. I have to sit through the ads again each time it crashes.

Anyway that Stephen Fry interview was nice.
