That cooled him down. To all you parents with feral kids out there (and there are many) keep your little darlings on a very short lead if you've not trained them.properly.

    hahaha

are you showing off about assaulting an innocent 14 year old who was pushed towards you?

I wish they would provide more information on the fatalities, I know families probably don't want to release but I think it might help knowing age and underlying illnesses

Genuinely, how would that help? Help to convince younger healthy people they are unlikely to die from this? That's a known fact now.

I was walking this morning, quiet enough, but a woman and her 2 young daughters came toward us. I moved the family to one side, said woman buried on her phone, barely saw us, two young daughters all over the shop, ran into us.
    The idiocy is unreal.
They can't keep them on a lead when the parents don't have one and need training themselves.

As the younger generation think they invincible, including my own 25yr old whom we have had differencing opinions on mixing with others, I think it will only hit home when their friends or someone known to them becomes ill or seriously ill. They will be on social media then passing on the message to stay home

So with 683 cases we're about 2 days from joining the 1000 club.
We're likely in the 2000 club in less than 7 days from now.

We've the 25th largest known outbreak, if you only count the republic.

    It's not going great.

    Our borders are porous
    It's a huge issue

Have they put on hold mortgage payments etc like here?

Yes three months but might extend it.

The way I'm looking at it is 3 deaths from 683. A mortality rate of 0.43%.

That's great in my book. It will increase but I'm confident we have a handle on things.

The more scare mongering the better, there is some still out there needing convincing, the virus attacks everyone

How many have died? I thought we were still on 3 no? And that the third was the mother of that one who was live tweeting the death, 88 and had COPD

    3. But when asked earlier at the briefing about the third death, he said that the person had no underlying condition. Which doesn't match with the lady in the tweet.

Yes I have been to Japan. There are no scumbags there? Not a one. No crime either. A magical land.

One of the nicest things I've ever seen is two 10 year old girls skipping hand in hand after school down the main street of Shinjuku.

    Never happen here.

Illinois just enacted a stay at home order also.

Just read that Coveney wants all us irish to come home... easier said than done.

Just worried in case anything happens to family in Ireland, I will have no way of coming home at all (based on the possibility of airlines ceasing flights)

    Worrying times.

Its all worrying for me. At least at the moment everyone is safe, no one is showing signs of infection. Stay safe all....

Yeah I'm in the same boat in Nevada. I've accepted that I wont see my family back home until this is all over or calmed down a lot. My daughter doesn't understand that we most likely wont be going to stay with nana and grandad this summer. Trying not to worry too much though, theres literally nothing I can do. If I start to think about it then I get too upset really. Hope your family all stay safe.

Do you think it's ok to visit a friend tonight? I told her it's not safe but she wants to see me and wants to chance it. Have been staying in on my own all week. Have a family member showing symptoms which I told her about.

    Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo

No they wouldn't. Did you watch the briefing? He said giving the age info may identify the person.

It would help identify the person if you have all of the other information. Seriously I think we need to stop putting personal freedoms before societal benefit.

The vast majority won't know who it is based on age. OMG do you know a 32 year old male in the country? Yes I do actually. It must be them. FFS

That 35 YO former inter county hurler putting up his experience on twitter was good by the fact it serves a warning for those who are complacent.

You need to request it, its not automatic.

Yeah, but that goes both ways. The largest outbreak on the island is in Dublin.

    Sorry. The "East".

    Use WhatsApp video instead.

Meanwhile zero new cases in China over 24 hours.

Not sure whether the fatalities are important..but what should be public knowledge is where clusters of infection are located.

Of course we should all take a good level of precautions but most people would be extra vigilant if they knew their own locality was a bit of a hot spot.

Authorities missing a trick here, just like they were slow on the early containment phase.

Lower again would be better. A nation holds its breath.
