No they wouldn't. Did you watch the briefing? He said giving the age info may identify the person.

How the hell could it have had, the person was between 30-39, jesus that must have been your man johnny, he is between 30 and 39.

Do you think it's ok to visit a friend tonight? I told her it's not safe but she wants to see me and wants to chance it. Have been staying in on my own all week. Have a family member showing symptoms which I told her about.

Why risk it? Do a video call or something.

I was out walking on my own this afternoon when I saw three guys of about 14 coming towards me, from the way they were walking that they were up to no good so I was prepared when one pushed another towards me and was rewarded a swift jab of my elbow into his solar plexus. That cooled him down. To all you parents with feral kids out there (and there are many) keep your little darlings on a very short lead if you've not trained them.properly.

Illinois just enacted a stay at home order also.

Office closing this evening for the last of the remaining staff completely. We are paying all our staff during layoffs completely.

Just read that Coveney wants all us irish to come home... easier said than done.

Just worried in case anything happens to family in Ireland, I will have no way of coming home at all (based on the possibility of airlines ceasing flights)

    Worrying times.

Staff are self isolating in various countries, some do not want to come back to the States due to possibility of infection while travelling so are staying away.

Its all worrying for me. At least at the moment everyone is safe, no one is showing signs of infection. Stay safe all....

I met my friend earlier in the car park and we parked beside each other for an hour and had the chats. I felt like a right boy racer. When it comes to meeting people face to face I’m keeping it strictly to family

It may be safe. but if it is not essential you should NOT go.

There's definitely crime but not the feral scumbags we have here. Ever been to Japan or Taiwan?

Yes I have been to Japan. There are no scumbags there? Not a one. No crime either. A magical land.

This sounds like a direct quote from 'the office'

How old are you? Curtailing their children? Everyone knows it’s important to take precautions when out but teens are always gona be difficult to manage especially now.

Not difficult to manage if your the boss as the parent you shoukd be.
I've a 16 yo, only time he's been out is to exercise in our local field, which is quiet, in a city suburb.
I don't bring any of the 4 kids anywhere where there is crowds. The coco Park in our cúl del sac they havnt been allowed in. My kids are ages 1-16.
Parents need to take responsibility, they can be managed if you do it

I literally said yes there is crime. There are not roaming gangs of scumbags like we have here. Are you able to understand that?

Re yesterday's sad death, Tony Holohan refused to confirm that it was an elderly person when asked directly by one of the journalists. He said the previous two had been elderly when he notified us of them. Ergo, it was a young person (which tallies with the 'no underlying health issues', which he did tell us).

I wish they would provide more information on the fatalities, I know families probably don't want to release but I think it might help knowing age and underlying illnesses

Genuinely, how would that help? Help to convince younger healthy people they are unlikely to die from this? That's a known fact now.

I was walking this morning, quiet enough, but a woman and her 2 young daughters came toward us. I moved the family to one side, said woman buried on her phone, barely saw us, two young daughters all over the shop, ran into us.
    The idiocy is unreal.
They can't keep them on a lead when the parents don't have one and need training themselves.

As the younger generation think they invincible, including my own 25yr old whom we have had differencing opinions on mixing with others, I think it will only hit home when their friends or someone known to them becomes ill or seriously ill. They will be on social media then passing on the message to stay home

So with 683 cases we're about 2 days from joining the 1000 club.
We're likely in the 2000 club in less than 7 days from now.

We've the 25th largest known outbreak, if you only count the republic.

    It's not going great.

    Our borders are porous
    It's a huge issue

The way I'm looking at it is 3 deaths from 683. A mortality rate of 0.43%.

That's great in my book. It will increase but I'm confident we have a handle on things.

The more scare mongering the better, there is some still out there needing convincing, the virus attacks everyone

How many have died? I thought we were still on 3 no? And that the third was the mother of that one who was live tweeting the death, 88 and had COPD

    3. But when asked earlier at the briefing about the third death, he said that the person had no underlying condition. Which doesn't match with the lady in the tweet.

One of the nicest things I've ever seen is two 10 year old girls skipping hand in hand after school down the main street of Shinjuku.

    Never happen here.
