Do you know I don’t think it will be after this. I put my coins in a bag and won’t be using them again. Card and contact less all the way. I’ve advised my friends and family to do the same. Metal is a transmitter of corona possibly as the virus can survive a very long time on it, I read 36 hours now have just read a few pages back up to 96 hours. I often had lose change buried at bottom of my handbag, all gone now even the hand bag. I found a cloth bag and when I go out I will bring my card my keys and phone nothing else. Bag can washed when I come home and keys and phoned wiped with antiseptic cloth.its a lot of work for sure but money is so dirty. I hope more people think about this.

"A massive effort is under way to develop a UK vaccine for coronavirus within months and make it available to save lives before the end of the year, the Guardian has learned.

Researchers at Oxford University, led by Prof Sarah Gilbert, are planning a safety trial on humans of what is expected to be the UK’s first coronavirus vaccine next month. Provided that goes smoothly, they will move directly into a larger trial to assess how effective the vaccine is at protecting against the infection.

The same vaccine will start animal trials next week at the Public Health England laboratory at Porton Down near Salisbury. Normally, animal work must be completed before human trials can start, but because similar vaccines have worked safely in trials for other diseases, the work has been accelerated.

Prof Adrian Hill, director of the Jenner Institute at Oxford, said:

We are conscious that a vaccine is needed as soon as possible and certainly by June–July, when we expect a big peak in mortality.

This is not a normal situation. We will follow all standard trial safety requirements, but as soon as we have a vaccine that’s working, we anticipate there will be an accelerated pathway to get it deployed to save lives. The more vaccine we can provide sooner, the better."

I thought I was going to be able to sit this out but my brother has epilepsy and my mother just rang me this evening and let it slip that she didn't manage to pick up his prescription last week. The GP was understandably backlogged, so it will only be at the pharmacy tomorrow. There's no way I'm sending her in to pick it up so I get to go to the pharmacy right beside the epicentre of the virus in the South to collect about six slabs of nutritional supplement and various drugs from them. Hooray.

She also needs perishables, fruits and veg for a strict diet he's on for seizure regulation. I'm not at all confident that they're even safe to eat. It's stuff like strawberries and mushrooms. If he doesn't adhere to the diet, he has intense seizures which he could also die from. Fúckin catch 22.
