Your newbie comment is at best facetious.

Her committee work, and the widespread respect her contributions have garnered, has put in more work than others there for a decade and more.

There are over 80 amendments so far from right across the Dáil.

She was echoing the widespread concern expressed, and did it with precision and effect.

How many thousands went from Ireland though? They have helped screw us as well!

There are still flights from the UK. A good number every day

Back here again after a break since last Friday.

Haven't left our place in a week. Finally have Kids and Husband (working from home) in a realistic routine that works for everyone.

Expecting a Tesco delivery tomorrow so will see how that goes. If lots of things missing then will go early on Saturday morning to re-stock myself.

My Mum (elderly and with healthy conditions and living 3.5 hours from me) is doing fine. We talk twice a day on the phone. Local shop delivering groceries to her which is working well. Mass on the TV now every morning for her too.

The Italy numbers are still scaring me. As is the UK method of dealing with this.

As are different people's interpretations of social distancing based on contact with my friends and photos on FB etc.

Who said anything about the word veteran? This happens on here quiet a lot, posters in a comment throw in phrases at another poster that they never actually said. It's very poor debating skills.
Your post? I'm clarifying my own post and yes we all do all of this, just in different ways.

I got a tesco delivery yesterday and they had absolutely everything (~€150 shop) except for a bottle of art n craft paint. They substituted the blue with black. All good.

So , if we are now ramping up to do ~15k tests per day and based on the info to date we have a 3% positive result rate , does that mean that we are looking at 450 cases/day when we do get to that level of testing?

Or is the expectation that if we are testing more the percentage positive rate would go down as we widen the audience of the testing?

Mary Lou and SF need to pipe down and shut up - they haven’t a single person worth hearing an opinion from at this time. What next? They’ll have the “up the Ra” imbecile as spokesperson for health. **** out of that, nobody wants to hear from ye at the moment

B*llox theer probably going to be shortage now. Lot of people inc myself use it to treat autoimmune issues. Problem is if we are taking off it for some time it can take 3 months for it to start working again. I don't fancy having major flares again

This was immediately contradicted by the FDA : they have not authoritised its use for Covid, contrary to what Trump announced.

UK death toll went up to 137 (up 33 I think).

Bit below the Italian curve if you compare the numbers

I took Chloraquine as an anti-malarial years ago when travelling India, Nepal and S.E. Asia. It's no longer much use for malaria and other drugs are preferred due to malaria gaining a resistance to it. If it helps with COVID-19 then that's fantastic, it's off patent, ancient in terms of medicine, used by troops in the Vietnam war, and easy to manufacture.

Italy will surpass China in the next two days for total deaths and they haven't even have the cases yet. Its incredible that themselves and Spain are both being hit so hard with this. Culture must play a part, very similar in how they interact socially.

TDs imagining or suggesting this has not been thought through to a large extent do give an impression that it's more about themselves.

That’s not the point I’m making - if you have willingly travelled out of Ireland for ****e like that then your return ticket should have been revoked weeks ago. We can’t account for the stupidity of people but we can punish them in ways for being such ****ing idiots.

Yes but you are also punishing some British person who will need a hospital bed.
Anybody who went over should have been quarantined in tents on the curraugh and should be last to get a hospital bed if they need one and the British should do the same to their morons as well. People have to be responsible for their action and realise they are consequences to them

Why should they pipe down and shut up. They represent around a quarter of the electorate. Pearse Doherty was very good on this on Virgin Media last night. They are entitled to their view and will have as much insight as any other party. The irony of you screaming pipe down and shut up to anyone.

I wonder when we can expect to hear about an extension to the school and college closures? I'm assuming it's inevitable at this stage regardless of how many new cases there are in the next few weeks
