We are doing well, keep it up.
We are gonna keep rising and rising for a couple of weeks and then hopefully we start levelling off.
I think the nature of our country and how spread out we are is helping us and will help us more.

74 is a good number, seems like we might have caught this before the worst of it caught hold . Numbers will go up but hopefully they will stay Bon the low side .
Anyone know how we compare to what Italy’s figures were like at this stage .

Social distancing has always been very good in Laois & Leitrim

It's amazing as we have an 86,000 population, a lot of commuting and the place is 'riddled' with Dubs.

Gonna look damn stupid tomorrow if there is still no increase in deaths

I think I may have seen a tweet by a women who was saying that her mother was dying but I didn't think it was coronavirus linked. Just my opinion but if a family member of mine was dying and then died I wouldn't be on social media but people deal with these situations in different ways.

Number of contacts with cases much lower now, which is excellent. Very high level of compliance on social distancing they believe.

Good....it would be great if we could be the new Singapore or South Korea

7 days waiting for a test? or results?

How could this be if people are on trains and buses and walking around in groups?

    Public transport is very quiet.

Also, groups may be families etc.

I have seen groups myself and it's wrong bit it doesn't mean it's the norm.

When people are distancing then you don't notice it.

Also, lots and lots of people are staying at home so those on the streets do not represent society.

And Leo on about 15000 cases by months end ????

It's still possible, he based it on average 30% day on day increase, yesterday was above at 30.9%, today is below at 25% - there will be fluctuations.

I'm going to take a wild guess that that split is due to the larger number of women in the higher age range affected by the virus. The Chinese experience seemed to be that it hit men harder because of lifestyle, particularly smoking.

This is what they said. Apparently the numbers on transport are a lot lower now but the effect won't be clear for a couple or weeks at least.
