Stranger bought me a coffee

    Isn't it nice when someone does something nice like that ? Walked into a cafe this morning and they wouldn't accept card payments so a guy standing behind me paid for my coffee.. Very nice gesture indeed.

    What nice things like this have happened to you ?

    I paid for 2 students who were short 2.50 for their tea in the chipper.
    it's a nice feeling and they were very grateful.

    Where I work has switched to card-only for the moment. So many of our regulars have offered to pay for items for the few people who only carry cash. I can comp stuff anyway if it's small, so they haven't had to actually pay for anything for anyone, but the way they're jumping up to offer really warms my heart.

    If a fine b!tch paid for my coffee, I'd make bloody sure I got her number to pay her back lol. That only happens in the movies though !

    I nearly drove a drunk guy I had never met half way across the county because he was good looking. Heck if a pretty guy asked me to buy him a coffee maker I would probably do it.

    That is very much an Irish thing op, most of us are decent people and its only a coffee like, have seen it loads of times in supermarkets, taxis if two groups share that dont know each other. etc hopefully we are always like that. have had a good few waves from strangers last few days, more than usual, we all know we are in this together now. This crisis is going to be positive in a lot of ways.
