I think Leo and Simon are doing great - and again not a fan of either. Can't be easy for them, or their families. Odd how if this happened a few weeks later, or our election came out differently, both of them could be watching this unfold from their couches...
I don't have any medics or first responders in my close circle, must be extra stressful for their families too, worrying about them.

Anyway, that's it, no more news for me until about October...

No new information but sobering stuff all the same. Some of you here don't like me I know but I hope all of you and your loved ones get through this difficult and surreal time. We are all in this together and we must try to keep our positivity and sense of humour. It's one of the ways to beat this thing and we can do it, I just know we can.

Stay safe and well everyone please and best of luck to you all and your nearest and dearest. xx

I am not sure why you are saying I know some of you dont like me. I haven't seen that at all here. I did see that you had said you were not posting again and felt that was a shame as I always appreciated your contributions. We all bring something different to the forum I believe.

I am sure there are people who do not like me: ah well, that's an awful pity about them.

In all seriousness, though, this is a good forum for support for all of us now.

It was a good speech, at times like this the leader of the country needs to speak to everyone.
Not a huge fan of Leo personally, & I have had interactions with him because of work, but I'm impressed with the way he is handling this.

So worried about my Mam, on her own down the country, I know she is worried. & so worried for her family in England, what will happen to them.......

Has she any help bubbly? What about shopping? My man wont come outside the door, shes 82 but my dad is with her and he's doing great tg.

Ah she's not so old, well able to take care of herself, it's the isolation id be worried about, shes not used to sitting around the house doing nothing. It's depressing her.
& her family in England, I'm so worried about them too. They're in bad health. Sitting home alone worrying isn't good for anyone...... :(

Wine and beer here, I'll take a few crisps if there's any going. I'm switching off the negativity for the rest of the night.

Took a plague break tonight and did the much needed family movie night with more chocolate than Willy Wonka.

Marching on to tomorrow and a big shop so we can stay indoors for at least a week. Big announcements coming IMHO.:(

Knuckles starting get red raw from all the scrubbing.

You're well prepared! I'm deliberately not buying any junk food, I'm drinking enough calories as it is. :pac:

Neither of us wants to go to bed because it feels like we could miss something. The fact that there's no proactive steps that could be taken is slightly frustrating. It feels like the whole summers been cancelled but of course it hasn't, it's just going to take some creativity to enjoy it. No harm to get back to simple pleasures. I guess we'll get used to this expectant atmosphere soon.

Not sure how long it has lived in the fridge. But, I'm drinking it here and it is as good as it ever was.

When watching Leo address the nation did anyone else feel like they were in the scene from the film Armageddon when it jumps around all the world leaders addressing their nations?.... It's all abit surreal.

If Bruce was on the job we'd have this sorted :D
