The failings of government policy, the housing crisis...

He struck a balance between empathetic and statesman like.

I'd also like to think that his Churchillian borrowing was a direct dig at BoJo and his buffoon of a father!
That confident and assured oration, that would put a nation on a war footing.
That's what many in the UK expected of Boris.

I have however, far more confidence in our Government and it's willingness to listen to best advice, and to put our citizen's safety 1st.

Also, per capita doesn’t matter. The virus doesn’t know the population and adjust rate of transmission. If anything, it just means places like US will be dealing with this for far longer as it takes longer to spread.

I remember during the last crisis this country faced, the financial crisis people gave out about no speech, turning to a speech too late from the Brian Cowen, at the time people gave out saying he should address the nation even if there was nothing to say, let them know they were not alone, out in the dark etc.

Now Leo has done just that, spoken with the nation even with nothing really new to say and yet people say the likes of WTF was that, you just can't win!

We bailed out the banking crisis in 2008, NOW it's time for the super-wealthy to bail us out, ie. the small minority who own the vast majority of the wealth.
